   I’m writing this review directly in Italian ... so there is no confusion about the Italian cuisine if this restaurant. Sorry very disappointed with Tiffany Faison. I am a great fan of sweet cheeks and tiger mama ... but this one..... DRINKS: Partiamo dai drinks.... abbiamo ordinato 2 aperol Spritz.... e sono arrivati 2 Campari Spritz.... ho cercato di spiegare al cameriere la differenza è lui ha verificato con il Barman confermandomi che era aperol e non spritz. Quando un italiano dice che non è il drink correct sarebbe meglio crederci subito e per più neanche fatto con il processo ma con un vino bianco liscio (origine sconosciuta) - SCORE LOW APERTIZER: abbiamo ordinato il tagliere che doveva servire 4 persone .... c’erano 2 pezzi di formaggio... 2 fette di salumi .... olive .... e salsa (molta salsa). Per lo meno mi aspettavo un assaggio di ogni cosa visto che era per 4 persone e dover dividere il formaggio in 4 pezzi. Il pane è fondamentale .... servito poco e dovuto richiedere quando ormai avevamo finito. - SCORE LOW ENTREE: lasagne, bistecca e cotoletta di pollo..... le lasagne sono un insulto al nome stesso.... consiglio vivamente allo chef di passare 10 gg in Italia in qualsiasi luogo per imparare a fare le lasagne (rest stop on the highway is good too). Bistecca passabile ... cotoletta passabile.... certo non un piatto che in itali viene servito ad un ristorante di questo livello. - SCORE LOW 3 persons .... total for the dinner $180. ..... sorry never again!    We made reservations for this restaurant and open table confirmed via email and text. When we arrived, Orfano had been closed, and will not open until April. We had no indication that this was the case. Restaurant website also made no Indication of closure. PLEASE REMOVE THIS RESTAURANT FROM YOUR OPTIONS! Great disappointment as we had few options to go elsewhere once we arrived.

   Made a reservation for my friend’s birthday. When I arrived I learned that the restaurant had closed a week ago! They just never let anyone know who had reservations? The person working there just said: “sorry, not my fault.” Very disappointed. I know it’s a tough time for restaurants but they should have notified people with reservations.

   We had a lovely time at Orfano. The lower scores for ambiance and noise of due to the fact that we ate outside and it was a windy night. The inside of the restaurant looked amazing and I can’t wait to go back in better times.

   Considering the pandemic, we were so grateful to be out eating in a restaurant and Orfano did not disappoint!! Everything was perfect except maybe the martini cart! I imagine most martini drinkers do not want an 1/1 gin/vermouth mix. Everyone knows a bottle of Dolin is $10 so to use that much is just a cheap glass filler at $28/ drink. The chef can spin it however she likes but she’s not fooling anyone! I am always very specific with my request for very little vermouth and they did oblige with a 2/1 ratio. Martini aside, our server was fantastic, the Italian wines were fantastic and the food was beyond fantastic!! Everything was so tasty and served piping hot! The Italian sausage lasagna was a nice twist, the pasta was cooked perfectly and the salmon was crispy and amazing. Cannot wait to go back. Such a shame they will be hibernating for the winter.

   Just another fantastic meal at Orfano. Everyone is so engaging and happy to have you there and the food is always the best! No need to head to the North End, especially when best Italian food is in the Fenway! Special thanks to Phil :)

   The food was sensational. Our server was lovely and well informed. Table service was excellent. I am a stickler for large serving spoons being served with dishes that will be split. And, proper utensils were in place before the food arrived, so we did not have to ask, or wait. Orfano is one certainly one of the best restaurants in Boston.

   I so wanted to like Orfano. The service was great, but the food was not. The lasagna was the size of a kit kat bar. The pasta in the bolognese was undercooked - not al dente, just under cooked. The chicken milanese was an enormous portion; however, it was encased in a hard crust for breading - like it was deep fried. The olive oil chocolate cake was very good. The ricotta pie was not - it was the size of a dole pineapple slice. With Covid, we give restaurants a lot of slack and tip well. However, we were very disappointed in the quality of the food, especially given the prices.

    I grew up in a very Italian are and have had thousands of diners. This is one of the best Italian Food experiences period.
