As long-time patrons of Orion’s Roof, we’ve always appreciated the elevated dining experience it once offered. Unfortunately, our recent visit was deeply disappointing and far from what we’ve come to expect. We ordered a variety of dishes, including sushi, pad thai, fried rice, steak, mussels, and salmon. While the salmon was well-prepared and met our expectations, the rest of the meal fell short. The sushi rice was dry, the pad thai noodles lacked moisture, and the fried rice was overly salty. The steak, ordered medium, was served medium rare—a notable oversight. The shumai tasted like frozen, mass-produced dumplings, far removed from the fresh, flavorful offerings we anticipated. We ended up not finishing the mussels, pad thai, or sushi due to their lackluster flavors and quality. For a meal costing nearly $400, it was frustrating that most of the dishes (approximately 90%) failed to deliver. This experience did not reflect the high standards we once associated with Orion’s Roof. Regrettably, this may be our last visit, and we hope management takes these concerns seriously to restore the restaurant’s reputation.

We visited Orion's roof this evening to celebrate my husband's birthday. I had been once prior and had a good experience but my husband and two middle school age kids had never been. Our server was very friendly but overall service was really slow; the drinks, the orders and even after one water refill we weren't offered any more for the rest of our meal. We ordered appetizers which were delicious. We then ordered a Caesar salad for all of us to share and that turned out to be disastrous. Immediately upon eating we all tasted a very gritty texture that basically seemed like the lettuce leaves had been drug through sand. We kept trying to figure out if it was some kind of spice or ingredient we hadn't read through carefully on the menu. When we finally got our server over I asked him what ingredient could be giving it that gritty texture and he looked horrified. He stated that it should not be gritty at all and quickly took all of our plates away. He was gone for about 10 minutes or so and then came back, apologized and said there would be no charge for the salad and we would have free desserts. We tried to put that behind us moving forward but after that point we all felt a little queasy realizing that we just been eating what was clearly dirty salad. The entrees took quite a while to come out but they were delicious. We had swordfish, salmon and a filet that were all equally well prepared. My husband and my daughter were not going to order dessert as they were feeling kind of full, but then they remembered that they said we had free dessert so all four of us ordered. It was all delicious but when they brought the bill we saw they only took off two desserts. When our waiter said we'd have free dessert I think it's reasonable to assume he meant the table. That should have been clarified and it ended the evening on a down note. Comparing the meal and pricing to what we've had at a place like Ruth's Chris, made this feel subpar. We will likely not visit again.

We visited this time for my daughter’s Birthday! Bridget took great care of us. We had a friend surprise us and she graciously accommodated. We had the Hot Rock Wagyu appetizer and it was lovely. The Fillet was flavorful and cooked well, I enjoyed the swordfish however is was a thin cut. The deserts were great!

Fantastic restaurant, views were phenomenal, fried calamari was among the best I've ever had, all the food was fresh, hot, and delicious.

Arrived there at our allotment time(1315). The waiter was very nice and friendly. Got our appetizers around 20 minutes later but all of the food was ordered at the same time. My family waited another hour until we got our food and we paid over 200 dollars. Been here before and the quality was amazing but this time(Jan 2nd 2025) wasn’t it.

There was not enough parking space. It was not fun to walk 2 blocks under the rain on NYeve. Food was not extraordinary. Many items are out. We were disappointed. Our server was excellent though and neutralized the experience

It was NYE and they made it very special! Even though our table wasn't ready at the reserved time, we went to the bar and waited. The bartenders were polite, fun and attentive. The drinks were amazing! After awhile we were sat at a very nice table. My only concern is that it was right next to the server station and we could hear everything that was going on behind the scenes. The NYE menu had delicious choices, but we were very disappointed that one of our favorite desserts, bread pudding, was 86'ed. Not good when the choices are limited to begin with. The server was pleasant and attentive, but we could tell that he was doing what he had to do instead of enjoying the vibe of the evening. Overall, the evening was very memorable and enjoyable. It is a beautiful restaurant and the staff was very friendly and hospitable. I would probably go back to see if I can make this a 5 star experience, instead of a 4.
