Atmosfera affascinante

Known by generations for her hospitality, proprietress Elouise Adams Jones, a.k.a. Ouisie, serves an eclectic collection of Southern foods with an excellent wine list to match. High ceilings and fans in the main dining room it evoke the ambiance of a Texas manor house. The adjacent dining porch overlooking the patio and garden, as well as Cooper’s Wine Bin, provide additional dining and entertaining areas. The daily fare encompasses traditional offerings like her well-loved pimento cheese, the shrimp and grits, and the popular Gulf Coast oysters to the favorite Tuesday special Ouisie’s award winning chicken fried steak with corn pudding. A fine plate of grilled Prime beef tenderloin or a brace of quail stuffed with super lump crab meat with Cognac glaze are good examples of the daily specials one might find on the blackboard.
Lunch and dinner daily, brunch on weekends.

The fig salad was delicious. The chicken parmeson was so-so. Our waiter was delightful! Love Ouisie’s and having been going for years. Always a great lunch spot with friends.

I had to give it 1 star to continue. We made a reservation on OpenTable and it was confirmed for that evening. When we arrived, the parking lot was empty. I went to the door ( which was unlocked) and a gentleman inside told me they were closed ( and obviously had been since earlier in the evening. since all the patrons were gone.) Hours were listed as open on OpenTable and my reservation was valid and it would not let me cancel it since it was now the appointed time. Therefore, I could not make another reservation elsewhere. We were from out of town and had no idea where else to go. We found directions to another restaurant ( Truluck’s) and were seated without a reservation. We had such a wonderful experience there we brought friends back the next night! Sorry, Ouisie’s, although your menu looked good I think you lost us as customers!

We celebrated our 41st anniversary with friends at Ouisie's. The food and service were excellent. It's a great place with a quiet atmosphere to have dinner with friends.

Great food, service and atmosphere. We were celebrating our anniversary and had a great time as usual at Ouisie's Table. Our server Ferret was friendly and very attentive; he allowed us to take our time and enjoy a relaxing evening. We are seafood eaters and Ouisie's Table has a very nice selection of entrees. We always have the shrimp and crab stack. Our entrees were paella and branzino which were delicious. There is also a very large and diverse wine selection. We highly recommend Ousie's Table and will continue to dine there on a regular basis.

Ouisie's is like family to us. Last year, we hosted our wedding ceremony and reception and they have taken such great care of us each time we visit. We went last night for our one year anniversary and they made our night very special. They even made us a smaller version of our wedding cake for dessert. A special thanks to Yassine who goes out of his way each time we come in to make it a very special experience. Not only is the service outstanding, the food is excellent as well. We give Ouisie's a 10/10 in every way!

As always Ouisie’s was a great experience! This time I invited a friend to celebrate her birthday, she was here for the first time and she loved it. Food was delicious, service awesome and we had a good time.
