    Menu is confusing and GF options are not illustrated. Items are expensive small plates and portions too small to share. Poor value but convenient location before an event at Capital One Arena.

    We went there before a Caps game and got there late due to Red Line delays. The service at Oyamel was very fast and enabled us to make it to the game on time. Food was excellent.

    Oyamel is always a fantastic dinner experience. The food is fresh and incredibly flavorful. The beverage selection is high quality. Great place to dine.

    Excellent food! Two adults and one child was pleased with everything we tried. It is wonderful to go to a restaurant and see new things and a vast vegetarian selection.

    The restaurant and atmosphere is beautiful. The fresh made guac is 10/10!! I'd go back for that alone. However, I ordered the steak and it just was not flavorful at all. I had a mojito and it was nasty and poorly made but the margarita was veryyyy good. I'm guessing that it's a staple there. The customer service was phenomenal. The food was not terrible it just did not meet my expectation and standards for Mexican food. Give it a try!!

    We enjoyed the vibrant ambiance, and the food tasted good. I don't say great since I found the arrachera to be underseasoned and the salsa for the nachos to be oversalted. We also tried the street tacos, and they were delicious. The only thing I did not like is that we felt rushed to order our entrees. Apart from that, the service was attentive and nice. Oh, and the margarita Oyamel is a must-try! I would visit again to try more dishes from the menu.

    Our food was amazing as always. We had the chef’s tasting menu. The person delivering and explaining the food was fantastic. Our waitress was definitely not up to the standards we have come to expect from a José Andrés restaurant.
