Paco Tapas brings the essence of Andalusia to Bristol, offering a vibrant tapas experience. Named after chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias’ father, Paco, who is from Seville, the restaurant is deeply rooted in Spanish tradition and family heritage. Located by the Bathurst Basin, Paco Tapas captures the lively spirit of a true Andalusian tapas bar, with dark walls, exposed brick, and sherry barrel tables creating the perfect atmosphere for sharing plates with friends and family.

Our menu features a selection of classic and seasonal tapas dishes made with the finest ingredients, including boquerones, croquetas de jamon, and the signature quail stuffed with sobrasada and dates. Vegetarians will love options like charred leeks with romesco and gordal olives. To complement the food, we offer an extensive sherry list, alongside carefully curated wines, cocktails, and beers.

Fabulous menu for New Year’s Eve (especially the tomatoes on the veggie version and the chocolate mousse).

Paco is a high-end restaurant and deservedly so. Over quite a few years my freinds and ourselves have ejoyed some amazing service and outstanding culinary memories. Last Saturday and after spending a considerable amount, we thought the restaurant has lost its shine! Our waitress was lovely, but unfortunately the kitchen and some of her colleagues just didnt quite hit the mark like before. Let's hope this is just a one-off and not the sign of a decline!?!

If you like tapas then this is a fantastic place to visit. The staff are knowledgable and very helpful, the food is lovely as are the drinks.

Returned for our second visit and had the chefs menu. Food, service and ambience were excellent

What a fabulous place. The food was wonderful and the service even better. I don't know the name of our waitress but she was outstanding. The style and design of the place is exceptional and I loved the location next to the the water. I honestly don't think there is is anything that could be improved. My favourite bit was the smell of the cooking. Wow!

Lovely restaurant and charming staff. Expensive.Warning though, the meat and fish served is only very slightly cooked. They did cook it more for me, but not enough for me to eat it. But my husband and son liked it. I totally disagree that almost raw means more flavour, but it seems to be the fashion nowadays. If you look up the science of cooking the flavours are brought out by cooking, so it’s wanky nonsense as far as I am concerned. I would add fully cooked as an option, then I would regularly return. The tomatoes and potatoes were delicious, but as I want to eat protein at each meal I will not return. Seems utterly nonsensical to me , like the emperor’s new clothes. When fancy restaurants are struggling, why alienate half your audience. People are too polite to say they want it cooked as worried about being seen as unsophisticated, but they vote with their feet and do not return. I am fussy and hate taster menus, but the good restaurants in Bristol seem to be taster menus or serve the food half cooked. When a lot of the cheaper restaurants do not even have chefs nowadays, to get a brilliant meal you have to go to london. Or just go out to lunch at some of the excellent Bristol cafes , who sadly do not serve dinner. And I have yet to find anyone who serves organic meat . My nephew runs restaurants and a friend owns one , so I am well informed.
