What an excellent meal ! From the crude to the pasta to the vegetable to the lamb, each dish was delicious and presented with care. The dessert list was creative and the olive oil cake, while pricey, was original and great. The hostesses and our server (Sandra, A+) were welcoming and attentive. The cocktail list was creative, the wines by the glass very good. Lovely decor. For sure if you’re staying on the properties you should dine here at least once. And if you’re in the Luquillo area, you should stop in for the evening !

Our waiter was excellent and very nice. He came to check on us and made sure we received our food in a timely manner. On the other hand, the food was under seasoned, over cooked, and lacked flavor. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is staying at the resort. Thank you to our waiter but we will not be returning.

We booked with Open Table and had a confirmation text. When we arrived, the hostess did not have the reservation but she said she could seat us anyway. They were not busy but it is concerning that they did not have our reservation. I showed her my confirmation text but she didn’t seem bothered by it.

Beautiful menu starting with interesting cocktails riffing on Italian and Puerto Rican flavors. Individual breads presented in little pots added excitement. My husband and I ordered individual salads and split the bucatini. The pasta was perfectly cooked. A bit too much oil and the truffle flavor did not shine.

We had a wonderful dinner at Palio. We tried a couple of their signature cocktails and they were excellent. We shared the fried zucchini appetizer and the Caesar salad. I enjoyed the Sea Bass as my entree and it was prepared to perfection. We also enjoyed the Gnocchi and it too was excellent. The service was outstanding and we will definitely go again when we are back in February.

We have been to this restaurant on another occasion and enjoyed it very much. In past years we were unable to get a reasonably timed reservation, but last year and this year we scored. I had the lamb chops which were presented beautifully, very tasty and cooked to medium rare as requested. My husband enjoyed the 8 ounce filet which met all his expectations. The issue came in pacing the meal. We had not received our cocktails when a server came with our 1st course, which we refused to accept. Our server brought our cocktails and we mentioned to her about the 1st course arrival. She apologized and said she would speak to the kitchen. No sooner did she leave our table and the same server returned with our 1st course. Again, we refused as we really had not even tasted our cocktails. Eventually, we had a visit from the chef, bringing a complementary muse and an apology. The timing was finally corrected and we had a lovely dinner. The restaurant was not very busy, in fact I received a text at 6:11PM that our table was ready for our 7:30 reservation. Possibly, they wanted to close early???? Our server was a delight.

This is not fine dining. Lack of training shows which is management’s fault. We were greeted and shown to our table. After 10-12 minutes the server greeted us asked if we wanted water, we said yes and she left. I had to ask for the wine list, as it was not provided to us upon seating. The wine list is very disorganized and confusing. Wines are listed without rhyme or reason. If it’s an Italian specialty restaurant the wines should be listed by region but, the list didn’t make sense. . Few minutes later she came back with the water. At this time we ordered appetizers and entrees. I ordered the osso bucco with a glass of the Chianti Classico. The food was delivered by a staff member. Our server didn’t check on us and I had to ask another staff to ask her to come to our table. When she showed up I asked for the my wine, just to be informed that they side have it. (She had 30-35 minutes to let me know). The lack of training and management involvement shows. In no universe this is fine dining. The osso bucco was good but not exceptional. Came with a spoonful of mashed potatoes supposedly with truffle, that someone forgot. So, this is a good everyday eatery but far from fine dining. Management needs to go, and bring real hospitality professionals to train the service staff.
