   My wife and I were in the mood for something new and a little adventurous. We came across Pangaea and decided to give it a try. ATMOSHPERE: It has a chill vibe and clean, rustic atmosphere that we found very relaxing. (Can't wait for the rooftop to open!) If you're a bourbon fan, you'll be impressed with the selection. The cocktail menu offers something for everyone. I had the Alex Fashion (Old Fashion smoke infused and smooth,). My wife enjoyed a delicious Spanish red wine. SERVICE: The service was outstanding. Alex, the bartender and, (you guessed it), the namesake of the Old Fashion, was super knowledgeable and friendly. We also spoke with Juan (owner), who patiently shared the story of Pangaea. Our server, Emily, was a delight too. FOOD: Outstanding! We like variety and trying things from all over the world. It's especially nice when you can try a variety of things without committing to a full meal by sampling the starters and small plates. We selected the savory Sweet Plantain Gnocchi fusion with red, chorizo piperade sauce (Basque country), Beef Kofta (Mediterranean) on naan bread with a tangy, tzatziki-like yogurt sauce, Papas Bravas with a creamy, red sauce, and the Green Coconut Curry Pork Tenderloin - a Thai inspired dish of sliced tenderloin (cuts with a fork) with a creamy sauce with just the right amount of heat and side of coconut rice. Loved it all!! Can't wait to bring our friends next month.

   The restaurant was very clean and the ambiance was moody, warm, and upscale. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiling faces and courteous natures. Our server, Emily, was sweet and very attentive. The owner and manager were there, cordial, and diving right in to help their staff whenever needed. The best part was the food offerings. For our starters, we tried the sweet plantain gnocchi, the mussels, the chicken wings, and the scallops. For our small plates, we ordered the fish tacos and the tuna bites. EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT! If there was anything left on a plate., it was because we were too full. This place gets five stars all the way.

   The food we had was really good, wine was lovely- ensure you have at least 2 hours to eat here to enjoy your meal. Service was a bit slow and not as attentive as we would have liked.

   Has the three course meal and everything was excellent.serving temperatures could have been a bit higher on the entrees but taste and service were excellent

   Very creative food. Excellent service. The Hibiscus Fizz cocktail was beautiful and had a delicious, herbal flavor. We had Yuca Balls as an appetizer, the ribbon carrot salad (especially wonderful) the pork tenderloin with a curry sauce and the (fantastic) wild mushroom ravioli with rosemary crème fraiche. Pangea offers a small but very well-executed menu in a small, but lovely spot. Kudos to the folks bringing this interesting international spot to South Elm.

   This was our first visit and it was excellent. We had several "starters" plus some main items and all were unique and quite good. Service was also excellent. We will return in the future.

    Wonderful to have a fine restaurant open on Monday nights. We enjoyed all of our dishes - fish tacos, wild mushroom ravioli and papas bravas along with an excellent white burgundy. All were well presented and delightfully different from other restaurant's version. We particularly liked the ravioli and its sauce. Service at Pangaea is always attentive but unobtrusive and this visit was no exception. We'll sample more dishes on our next visit.
