Just arrived from LA and this is the best sushi we have had in awhile. Everything we ate was fresh and very tasty. Service was excellent and we are definitely coming back soon.

I have been here about 4 times but this time around everything was bad from the time we sat to the time we received at least a hello from our waitress to the time we received our food . It was a mess. How is it I receive my food first and then my drinks ? Suppose I choke on my food . Appetizers should arrive first my entrees came first . Note to servers please remind customers food has no particular order in coming out. The wait time was terrible.

Came in about an hour before closing, and had to find someone to serve us.. the server felt like she was rushing us without saying so, did not like how we felt. It’s the restaurant business.. at times people are going to come in last minute, but I feel no matter what, you should always make sure the client is not feeling rushed.

I absolutely love PaperFish! I’ve gone for a little over 3 years and the food has only gotten better. The salmon crispy rice is my favorite, always go for 4 pieces. We got the Salmon furai roll and Ebi Katsu roll, everything was really fresh and tasty. No dessert because honestly nothing caught our eye but all in all, 20/10 experience.

Ambiance is lovely with the entrance stairs and the fake cherry blossoms and lighting. Noise level is just right - good for all occasions (family, party etc). Food was underwhelming: wagyu beef on the hot stone was too garlicky and the stone lost its heat too quickly. The 2 maki rolls we ordered tasted the exact same as did the handrolls. The foie gras nigiri was good, but could have done with double the foie gras. The crispy rice had a satisfying chew but was luke warm - a weak attempt at the Nobu crispy rice appetizer. Considering it was Christmas Eve the service was good; attentive and not overwhelming.

Came here for happy hour and (as always) had a fantastic experience!! The restaurant is such a vibe, and the sushi is fresh and delicious. Two happy hour martinis also had me buzzed! Highly recommend

Food is amazing. I ordered the crispy rice salmon, misuna - all gluten free and I had no issues. Love this place!
