A refreshing new breed of wine bar, Peacock is a relaxed and boisterous hideaway overlooking the city’s picturesque waterfront in the heart of Halifax’s bustling Queen’s Marque district. Serving an ever-evolving list of labels including small-production and hard-to-find bottles as well as an extensive by-the-glass selection, its menu features a thoughtfully curated list of sharing plates and handmade pastas lightly anchored in local seafood and seasonal vegetables.

We had a fabulous evening at Peacock. From the time we arrived we had such a warm welcome, we knew it was going to be a great night. Our server Sage was absolutely lovely. So engaging, gracious, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. Food was beautifully presented and scrumptious. Thank you! ❤️

Excellent food and service. And wine. We had the chefs fixe. Incredible. Every bite. The atmosphere was stunning and relaxing at the same time.

Great experience at Peacock Wine Bar - great wine list and the food was excellent. Try the tartare - very good. It also has a lovely atmosphere!

Beef tartar innovative and interesting - yummy. Charcuterie board nice selection but only 2 meats - pretty good. Service friendly, attentive but not intrusive - excellent. Would go again!

It was an amazing experience. We always enjoy ourselves everytime we go here. The food is magnificent. The staff are very professional adm knowledgeable. Thank you for a wonderful date night.

We love this restaurant. It is definitely the most sophisticated and interesting food we have found in the Maritimes. The pasta dishes are clever and beautifully prepared. The fish has always been exceptional. Great oysters and a complex wine list. Our favorites last night were the warm mushroom salad- so tasty and so complicated. The ravioli with braised cabbage was out of this world. A little heat from a chili oil, the crunch of the perfectly braised cabbage, the perfectly cooked pasta; it all came together beautifully. We will keep coming back. I would also urge people to realize that you are receiving very good value for your money here. There is a multi-course tasting menu for less than $100 or you can go ala carte. You can combine small plates and have an array of lovely bites rather than a massive main. We had four drinks and five plates between us, including oysters to start, and our bill, with tip, was under $200. To have food this well prepared, and exquisite service, for this price is a big win!
