   Had some kind of remodeling going on at the entrance by bar area... loud.. ... Over all great place....

   The Pecan Grill sits right off the lobby bar of the Overton Hotel. On the night of our visit, we were seated at a table right next to the bar, so the noise level was quite high, and the ambiance was more of a bar atmosphere. The food itself was decent. I ordered the Prime Rib, which was the special that night. It was served with a baked potato and asparagus, but no au jus or horseradish, and was a bit dry (served medium rare). The homemade ice cream was very good, but the waiter forgot one of the deserts at our table. All-in-all, it was a decent restaurant, but nothing to write home about.

   It was a slow night and we walked in from the neighborhood to discover we had chosen a hotel resturant so I was initially skeptical. Jake, our waiter, quickly dispelled that with his friendly wit and prompt service. A light round of coctails, a light meal of soup and mac and we were on our way with another example of "despite location" a good exec-chef can do great work adjoined to a hotel.

   Food are okay. Friendly server and personnel. Will definitely come back next special occasion.

   Lovely venue with linens and fresh flowers. Food nicely presented, generous portions.

   We were not greeted to start with. One of the waiters (maybe?!) walked up and grabbed some menus then started walking off like we were to follow. I said, we had a reservation and he was like oh and walked back to check us in. Once seated, we got drinks and ordered fairly quickly but then the waiter disappeared for 25-30 minutes. He finally came back with our appetizers and then we got food quickly after but I probably won’t be back. Food was fine but nothing I crave to have again. I don’t think it was worth the price. My husband said it tasted like cafeteria food. Live music was loud and not expected. I was glad when they took a break but annoyed when they started again. Had to wait again for the check. Overall, an okay but not great experience.

   After a long drive and a short walk we enjoyed a lovely dinner. The steak salad was great and the service was excellent. We will eat there again and recommend to everyone.

   The food was terrible and we were served the wrong entrees but did not complain because we didnt expect any of the other entrees to be of any higher quality. This was a special occasion (wedding night) and we were sad to have this poor experience. This place was highly recommended and it did not meet expectations.

    The pecan grill is an awesome place to go with family or a date. We went on our wedding night and they treated us like royalty. I could not have picked a better place. Executive chef made us a special dessert for our special day too!
