Pendolino is the new restaurant from chef-owner Kevin Maxey, debuting spring of 2024 in Atlanta. Taking up an Italian disposition – one where eating and culture are inseparable – we are proud to offer Chastain Park a classy-casual neighborhood place.
Come join us in our dining room or our sun-filled patio for an unbeatable setting. One side of the restaurant boasts a curved oak wood bar with casual café style seating, and views of the wood burning oven. The main dining room has a lux mix of comfy banquettes, graciously sized booths, and marble topped tables and there is a private dining room that can be enclosed for festive celebrations. Whether you are out for a date night or late night, feasting with friends or family, popping by for an afternoon snack or lingering for a special occasion, we can’t wait to host you.

We went to Pendolino often when it first opened - many times sitting at the bar - truly enjoyed all aspects of the experience. In the past 6+ months we have experienced a consistent decline in service when sitting at a table - last night being the worst. We sat at the counter (you can watch what is taking place in the kitchen) and were largely ignored by our server. After quite some time we put in our drink order which took over 20 minutes to arrive. Our server did not return during that time to take our order or check on us (drink was brought by another person). Gin martini, no food. We finally got the food order in and it was another 20 minutes before the appetizers arrived. We watched as meal after meal was prepared - guessing if the order was ours. We received the last meal that was prepared in the kitchen - over an hour after we had arrived. The food was delicious but the pasta (I have had previously) was under cooked and stuck together. I had wanted a glass of wine with the pasta but server wasn’t around to order from. I am hoping the restaurant will focus on improving its service as many of our friends had the same experience and are no longer dining there.

The food was delicious. We had the bbq octopus, calamari and the burrata….all were amazing! For dinner we had the ravioli, halibut and the shrimp again all were delicious. Great service and atmosphere. The drinks were great as well ~ made by the cute bartender Gabby. We will be back.

Wow,, great place..this is really a hidden gem..Michael waited on us, super guy and great service..Halibut was off the chart excellent, with butter beans..And then the pistachio gelato was really good..Love this place, you will too..

This was our second visit to Pendolino. We were with another couple, and three of us had a pizza, which we all enjoyed. Those who got the Caesar salad enjoyed it as well. The spaghetti and meatballs got a good review, but I thought the carbonara was just okay. The service was fair. In summary, this restaurant is decent, but I think there several other Italian restaurants nearby that are better.
