Located in the heart of East Nashville, Peninsula serves up sharable plates, old world wines, and Spanish style gin and tonics in an inviting and intimate space. James Beard nominated Chef Jake Howell's menu focuses on sustainable, local ingredients and features seasonal, creative dishes influenced by the Iberian Peninsula. Guests are encouraged to sample the flavors of Spain, Portugal and France while enjoying the rustic, yet modern surrounds.

Dagli editor di OpenTable: James Beard Award-nominated chef and StarChefs Rising Star Jake Howell is all about the Iberian Peninsula here, where tapas and gin and tonics in a rustic space transport you straight to the coast. But don’t expect tradition—Howell's approach is more modern in dishes like scallops with melon tea and calendula or tomato toast sprinkled with black nigella seeds. The result is Eater Nashville's 2018 restaurant of the year.

                                Absolutely incredible food. The Michelin star experience at 75% of the cost, and none of the pretentiousness. If you’re a normal person, splurge here. If you’re a rich person, dont miss a menu change, visit monthly. An EXPERIENCE in the setting of your neighborhoods coolest bar

                                A one-of-a-kind culinary experience here in Nashville. Everything that we ordered was amazing; the endive and the donut dessert stood out the most to us. Such fun textures and stand-out flavors! And kudos to front of the house - service here was warm and inviting. Nailed all the cocktail recommendations and really made us felt like we were at a dinner party hosted by a good friend. Looking forward to coming back!

                                Not going to lie i was a bit disappointed. I heard great things going into the dinner but carried little expectations. This place was more of a gastronomy dining experience vs a real meal. Expect small portions for high prices. The first dish we had was actually great, the rest were average at best. I’m a fan of gastronomy but was left a bit disappointed. The shrimp and scallops were pricey and not my favorite. We ended up calling the night early. Not my favorite experience and I’m sure I’ll go back at some point to give it another shot when the menu changes.

                                I will say stellar service! I write this because it was my own opinion, I’m sure others will disagree. Definitely an “experience” and not a meal. The flow of food was very odd, so many varying temperatures, consistencies no real feeling of progression in the menu. We went to grab a burger else where after a $200 meal for 2 here.

                                My husband and I loved this restaurant and would certainly visit again. The food was delicious, unique and so flavorful. Overall, we had a great experience.

                                I really wanted to like this place, but I really didn’t. The food was horrible, but I will say, we only were able to take a bite of 2 of the items we ordered and we had to cancel the rest of what we put in and requested the bill. They actually comped us for these items, which we weren’t expecting and that was very kind. But.. the Spanish tortilla had no explanation of what it was, but after the first and only bite we realized it was a rectangle boiled egg white with garlic and salt on top… I mean some people must love it! But I did not. The beats were also very unpalatable.. I’m sure the seafood would have been better, but we didn’t want to risk it. The place is cute. A little noisy, but it is very cozy otherwise The staff appeared to be pretty curt (we weren’t rude, but I can understand that we probably caused offense by asking for no more food to come out and for the check - but in our defense, I have never had something so astonishingly gross). The seafood may have been good! But I will never know. l
