Pepe's Cafe provides a laid-back place for enjoying surf and turf favorites. Guests can stop in for breakfast and enjoy the build-your-own breakfast, omelets, traditional eggs Benedict, French toast and pancakes. Those stopping in for lunch and dinner can add a fresh-squeezed margarita for a cool meal accompaniment. Pepe's Cafe features a simple lunch menu featuring sandwiches and burgers. For dinner, start off with appetizers, which include Gulf raw oysters, baked oysters, soups and salads. There are chicken, pork and fresh fish offerings, along with a fresh vegetable plate. Enjoy the choice New York Strip that is cut to order, the filet mignon, bone-in ribeye or the Pepe's steak smothered in pork chops. Pepe's Cafe also offers lighter fare, including the steak Caesar, fish sandwich and the seven-ounce burger.

We had read the reviews and were very excited to try this place during our first time in Key West. The menu posted on Open Table showed only breakfast foods - eggs, pancakes, etc. This was not the menu available when we arrived for our reservation at 12:30pm. Our kids were looking forward to breakfast and ended up not eating much due to limited kid friendly foods on the menu provided. The hostess was very rude. However, our waitress was very kind.

Have been here two times before. Food is still excellent. We had the raw oysters to start. They were delicious. Had peel and eat shrimp and salads for dinner. The shrimp was super fresh. The salads were large and very fresh as well. They make all of their dressing in house and it was yummy. Drinks were good too. We had mojito and margarita.

Shout-out to our server, Christine, who was awesome. The local smoked fish dip was delicious and everyone (family of 6 adults, 2 children) enjoyed the entrees. Happy hour prices were a bonus when we arrived. BIG DOWNSIDE: There are roosters and birds roaming freely in the restaurant, with droppings on the floor and birds hopping on empty tables. I know it's supposed to be part of Key West's charm, but it seems unhealthy and gross. A simple half-screen door at the entrance might cut down on the critters and improve a diner's experience. I don't know if I'd go back because of it.

Great find!!! Food was excellent, service fantastic( we had a high top in the bar). Go early, make a reservation or be prepared to wait. Restaurant is small (perfectly sized) and a local favorite. It’s the kind of place you stay and talk because you get caught up in the bustle of the surroundings

I ate here years ago and it was so good that I came back twice. My latest experience, ordering the same meal, while good was not quite as good as the previous two. Food quantity and quality is good, but the taste was lackluster. Fish was slightly overcooked as was the asparagus and the margaritas were tasteless. Cornbread is excellent, as is the key lime pie.

Fantastic food, affordable prices, great service in an authentic Key West place. We had the stone crab, Florida lobster and a perfectly cooked filet wrapped in bacon. Really a 5 star experience.
