Petite Left Bank is a traditional French café and bistro set in the heart of Marin County, in the charming downtown area of the coastal Tiburon peninsula. Like its sister restaurant Left Bank, Petite Left Bank is named in homage to and inspired by the iconic brasseries of La Rive Gauche, the southern or “left bank” of the River Seine which winds its way through the center of Paris. Petite Left Bank is a modern and approachable setting, and at the heart of all the space has to offer Tiburon is a French café. During the day, handcrafted dishes feature modern flavors and techniques that embrace its French European heritage and elevate the café experience. As the day turns to night, Petite Left Bank transforms into an alluring, lively, and exciting space with bistro highlights that showcase French recipes and classics. Seating along the sidewalk under the bistro lights feels like a true French cafe and the fire pit offers a cozy hangout to enjoy French bites and cocktails.

                                                          Very well received by the staff. The escargots, the sole, and the filet mignon were all excellent. The dressing for the green salad was a little too thick and could have used some vinegar to make it thinner and more interesting. The cappuccinos were not hot enough. But overall, it was an excellent lunch.

                                                          Service was great; friendly and attentive. Food was good, but the restaurant was very noisy. There were 8 vivacious women having dinner together and were very loud, so much so that other diners had to speak louder to be heard, which raised the volume. All the surfaces of the restaurant are hard surfaces so nothing is absorbing the noise. My guest and I found it difficult to converse. As a result, we decided that we'd come here only in the warm weather when we can sit outside.

                                                          We went for an early dinner and because we like Left Bank in Larkspur. Service was great. The beef bourguignonne was tasty, though not as tender as what we have had at the Larkspur location. My Salad Niçoise was good. Oysters were fresh and delicious and the onion soup was outstanding. Our cocktails were excellent (dirty martini and petit pont). It was an enjoyable evening with live music.

                                                          Really off night for a restaurant we used to frequent. We ordered 4 items, and they were out of three of them. The menu had half of the usual offerings. Ended up ordering things we weren’t very interested in because of the lack of selection. Out of our usual wine, we paid $75 for a very mediocre bottle that retails for $24. We left most of it. Doubt we’ll be back.

                                                          I wonder why I hadn't been to this restaurant sooner. The service that we received on my birthday was superb, and the meals we ordered were all so delicious! The restaurant has such elegant vibes. I really liked the interior and the French music playing in the background. I'll definitely recommend Petite Left Bank to anyone who's in or near Tiburon! And I will be back someday!                                                           OMG, worst dinner ever Were sat next to a family with 3 kids under six that roamed, screamed and threw food The waiter, Victor, I don't think has a day of experience We ordered bread and a couple came in and were served bread and an entry before we received bread after asking 3 times My wife's salad was brought but my shrimp cocktail was not until 10 minutes later I ordered a lobster roll and was told 20 minutes later they were out of Lobster. I was asked if I wanted a crab roll and replied yes. 15 minutes later I was told they had lobster. Another 15 minutes and I was brought an overdone bun and some overdone lobster after which I sent back after a bite. Be sure to avoid tables with small children as the restaurant is tiny. Most importantly, avoid Victor.
