Nestled in the heart of downtown Western Springs, Petite Vie offers a menu curated with classic French dishes infused with Chef Paul Virant's signature flair. Spending time researching in France for inspiration, Virant has crafted every dish with meticulous attention to detail and a reverence for tradition.

Seating 65 guests, Petite Vie’s intimate space exudes the warmth and comfort of a traditional French brasserie, while seamlessly blending modern design elements. A collaboration between Virant, his wife Jennifer and long-time friend and designer Jody Tate, every detail at Petite Vie tells a story of meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful curation.

Featuring French intricacy and layering, the space is a canvas of artistic expression, with artwork curated from both local talents and treasures acquired during the team's time in Paris. Framed prints, commissioned paintings, and a round antique mirror passed down through generations, adorn the walls, adding layers of intrigue.

Enjoy a reception and five seated courses curated to pair with wines from the major regions of France! You will enjoy wines from the Loire Valley, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Alsace, and Langeudoc-Rousillon. We will have sparkling wine and passed appetizers for the seated reception followed by a five course tasting menu. Each dish has been created to pair beautifully with the wine selection. The dishes have taken influence from the different regions of France highlighted by the wines! Must be 21+ to attend, IDs will be checked as needed. Reception will begin at 6 pm and dinner will be served promptly at 6:30 pm.

Just a marvelous experience all around. Food and service every bit as good as Vie - just less expensive and more "casual." Interesting menu that will satisfy foodies and normies alike 😊. Can recommend this experience to anyone who might not want to travel all the way to the city.

Excited to have found a delicious French Restaurant. The food was very good. We had the escargot, lyonnaise salad, french onion, steak frites and beef bourguignon. I was hoping by the time we got to our main dish, somewhat already full, the frites wouldn't be good and I'd only eat the steak. Not true. The frites were delish too! Our waitress was so sweet and knowledgeable.. Excited to come back and sit at the counter to watch the food be prepared.

Wonderful experience, the food was excellent, our waiter was very knowledgeable. The ambience is elegant and cozy and since it was a Monday night it was quiet. We will definitely come back and try more items on the menu.

The food was amazing. It was like being back in Paris. Absolutely loved the vibe. We live in Hinsdale and frequent Vistro Prime. What a great addition to fine dining in the burbs.

Easy to talk to staff! Most food is cooked with out seed oils and fried in beef tallows (extra yummy and better for your gut). Highly recommend!

The food was excellent. They kindly took our coats. Our waiter was very helpful. We were seated in the back room and it was very loud.

Wonderful! - The ambiance is understated elegance with attentive service and great food. We started our meal with the delicious Escargot - the best we've ever had! My husband ordered the Beef Bourguignon (Plat(s) Du Jour) it was the perfect dish for a cold night and I ordered the Pithivier (puff pastry with butternut squash etc) the last bite was just as good as the first. The food was prepared thoughtfully and it shows. We look forward to our next meal at Petite Vie.

What a fantastic restaurant!! I loved the ambiance, the menu, food, and service. I took one bite of my entree and literally exclaimed out loud about how fantastic it was! We had cocktails, escargot, french onion soup, duck confit, beef bourguignon (on special), and the chocolate souffle and profiteroles. We cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.
