Since 2018, we welcome Chef Philip Guardione and his Sicilian kitchen, Piccola Cucina. Philip cooks authentic Sicilian food which is an amalgam of Italian cuisine influenced by all the cultures that found Sicily as their crossroads. Simple, fresh ingredients authentically prepared suit the local environment of Red Lodge.

At Ox Pasture X Piccola Cucina, we are at the heart of Red Lodge’s artisan food scene, the locally raised world class beef is featured alongside produce and herbs raised in area farms. We work directly with the local farmers and ranchers to obtain the freshest and most seasonally appropriate ingredients.

                                                                  We've been to Piccola Cucina Ox Pasture a few times now and it's been great every time! Fairly priced food that is consistently delicious and a great wine list as well. I've always gotten the cacio e pepe and the tiramisu - performative but delectable. My boyfriend usually gets the lasagna and says it's some of the best he's had; this time around he got the carbonara and it was great as well. Beautiful atmosphere, great vibes, wonderful staff, delightful food - we will continue to come back when we visit Red Lodge.

                                                                  This was our first time there and everything from service to food was spectacular! We were celebrating our anniversary which was earlier in the month and our first chance to celebrate, I had put that on our reservation and they made our evening so special. We will return again and again. Loved every minute ❤️❤️

                                                                  We were quite pleased with our experience at Piccola Cucina. especially with what we chose to eat. We have eaten baby octopus that was quite tender, but the tentacle we were served was not a baby and still was succulently tender. Its presentation was beautiful -- a lovely white oval platter with the octopus resting on a bed of seasonal greens with a scattering of thinly sliced cucumber and delicious cherry tomatoes. What a nice start. We followed with a filleted branzino served with the severed fish head on the side to prove it started off whole and a generous portion of roasted eggplant and zuchinni. While the service overall was attentive and polite, our waiter did insist that the pinot noir we ordered was the same as the one on the list (no, it was not), and the entre arrived when we had barely started the appetizer. We are not fast eaters, and obviously the restaurant is not used to our more leisurely pace. Our lemon dessert was a delicious finish. Piccola Cucina (I don't quite get the Ox Pasture), thank you for a nice evening. We look forward to returning the next time we are in Red Lodge to try your pasta.
