At Pincette- Lobster Bar, transport yourselves to a chic lobster shack in the East Coast of Canada. With lobster as the main item on the menu, our restaurant presents a variety of unique dishes including lobster poutine, lobster pasta, lobster mac and cheese, as well as classic dishes such as lobster rolls and of course, whole lobster.     Menu du nouvel an ultra décevant: portion ridicule pour le prix. Nous pensions avoir eu les amuse bouche affichés au menu alors qu’il s’agissait du premier et deuxième service! Et que dire du service… notre serveur était froid et confus toute la soirée.

    We made a reservation based on published positive reviews for the evening of December 30 as we were spending a few days around New Year's eve in Montreal. And boy, those reviews were right! The restaurant is smallish but has sister restaurant adjacent to it, all part of the Auberge du Vieux Port hotel. We shared two appetizers, the seared scallops and the grilled octopus, followed by a main dish, the losbter and clams cassolette. All three seafood dishes were excellent but the top spot belongs to the seared scallops which were served with roasted parsnips, Brussels sprouts petals, saffron panacotta and black mullet caviar. The chef cooked the scallops perfectly (cooked but very tender) and the overall dish was superb. With dinner, we had a bottle of Bordeaux (entre deux-mers, so very refreshing and not very expensive). After dinner, we shared a chocolate dish and a glass of cognac. And to top all that, our young waiter Michael was every informative and attentive. This restaurant, which is located in the old town, is a necessary stop for those who like seafood.

    Magnifique expérience à Montréal. L'endroit parfait pour déguster des homards. Accueil parfait. Service au top. Les conseils étaient à la hauteur de nos exigences. Nous recommandons vivement.

    Great Christmas Eve dinner, we both had lobster entrees along with the octopus appetizer. It was a busy night and the staff was so organized and cheerful you’d never know!

    Oyster and grilled octopus are nice. Surf and turf is a total disappointment. No flavours for the shrimps and they seemed to be frozen instead fresh shrimps. We ordered medium rare and the steak was overcooked. Very chewy… Lobster risotto is good. Service provided is very very basic. We spent $237 for the whole meal which doesn’t worth at all.

    We looked online for a spot in Montreal and so glad we ended up at Pincette. The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional. Lovely vibe with the music, the atmosphere and interiors. Definitely going back on my next trip to Montreal. They truly care about providing the best in class experience.
