   I was very disappointed in the food. Our waiter was very good, however, he forgot my salad! I asked his opinion on the food and he recommended the scallops. They were absolutely awful little tiny frozen bites not even browned or hot. When I told the server he forgot my salad he never even asked if I wanted it or anything else. I felt that $45 for five tiny scallops. The size of a nickel was completely overpriced! As were the calamari fries! They were mixed in with fried green beans. It was ridiculous and we will never be back. Wait time was also very long from the time we received it until we got our first drinks 25 minutes later.

   Pisces Rising is a pretty setting overlooking Lake Dora. The food is diverse, well prepared and tastefully presented. Table service was fantastic! The same cannot be said for the hostess. Upon arriving for our reservation for our 10th anniversary, I requested to be seated at a table by the window with a "happy anniversary" sign already posted there. My wife mentioned that this was our anniversary. In response, the hostess responded with "We have you seated in the main dining area at a seat that, I am sure, you'll enjoy." She then proceeded to seat us in the row of tables to the left with a much more limited view of the lake. Staying positive, we both assumed that there must have been a reservation in the next 30-45 minutes, so we relented. Much to our chagrin - and disappointment - the table remained empty for the entire time! The hostess' attitude and reluctance to accommodate our request got our special dinner off to a less than ideal start- especially since the table remained vacant for our entire visit. Plus, the dress code listed is business casual, which generally means men in long pants and collared shirts, not the shorts, t-shirts, and fisherman vibe that many gentlemen achieved. Pisces Rising is well worth a visit for the food. The outside bar looks like fun. However, to truly reach and exceed a 4+ star level, live up to your own published standards, and to a better job to accommodate your customer's requests - or at least come up with a better excuse, rather than a terse statement, of why you can't. Cause even if the table we requested was reserved and turned out to be a no-show on the day, an kindly delivered acknowledgement of same would have been most welcomed.

   The food was fresh. Very tasty and well presented. The outdoor patio is perfectly shaded with large red umbrellas. Great view down to the water. Loved our waitress..

   I think pricing wise is quite high- expensive. They need to make more choices with less price Main meals is very high for lunchtime Beautiful place And one of my favorite in Mount Dora Dr. Ebrahim

   Went there for my husband's and my Wedding Anniversary. Everything was excellent. The server was very attentive and made our evening special. I had the Wagyu skirt steak with rice pilaf and green beans. The steak comes medium, and it was well seasoned and tasty, the green beans were cooked so well and bursting with flavor, the rice was a bit dried out and hard, but it was well seasoned. My husband had the mahi mahi sandwich and it was seasoned well and delicious. They also have the most delicious lemon creme brulee for dessert. We were able to get a seat on the patio, but I can tell you the closer to 6pm the tables out there filled up quickly. The view is gorgeous, and its first come first serve. I will definitely be visiting again.

    We had reservations to sit inside. Upon arrival the hostess said to another we gave their table to someone else, where should I put them. She raddled off a number and we were put upstairs in a dark room directly in front of the bathrooms. Our waitress said they don’t ever put anyone up here so she was not used to serving upstairs. She was not very Present or attentive to our table never offering refills for our drinks and was really rushed when she did show up. We booked the restaurant for it’s ambience as well as the food and service. Would not recommend this place to anyone or would I ever return.
