The minute you walk into Poseidon, you’ll be swept by the fabulous view. You couldn’t be closer to the sand and the beach than sitting at Poseidon on their beautiful outdoor patio. With such a spectacular ocean view, you’ll experience breathtaking sunsets and during the right season even catch a glimpse of the whales migrating up or down the coast. The bar offers a large circular firepit, which is nice on those chilly fall or winter nights. Off to the side of the bar is a split level dining room offering every table a panoramic view of the beach and the ocean. For decades, Poseidon has delighted both local San Diegans and the tourists that love the beach.

                                                        Excellent food. We had Chilean sea bass and calamari. Great place to have sunset dinner by the ocean. Other couple had salmon and tuna. Everyone had a great meal.

                                                        We sat outside where it was an absolutely beautiful day able to watch the ocean waves roll in. Our waitress, Tiffany, was incredibly hospitable and offered suggestions from the menu. The house salad with lemon vinagrette was a lovely starter. The Shrimp and Crab Linguini was beautiful in its presentation and absolutely delicious!! Both went well with the Sauvignon Blanc that was ordered. I can't wait to return here!

The food was absolutely excellent, with flavors that exceeded our expectations. Our server, Rae, was incredibly attentive, ensuring our needs were met throughout the meal. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor added a special touch to the evening. Highly recommend this place and looking forward to returning!

                                                        Bartenders were great for happy hour. Then moved to dinner on patio and server was so great, and very funny . Food was delicious. And with heaters the colder weather was no issue to sit outside

                                                        We read a lot about Poseidon and it did not disappoint:the food the service was outstanding, it was a wonderful experience. We are looking forward to dining here again when we are in San Diego.

                                                        Once again, a wonderful evening at Poseidon. Extraordinary customer service by everyone. Our server Claudia, friendly and caring as always. Thank you Jackie (hostess), David, Scott, Lupita, Theresa, Oscar (servers) and Bobby (GM) for stopping by to say hello and make my grandchildren feel special. This has also become my grandchildren's favorite restaurant.

                                                        On a whim we deserved a table for our 15th wedding anniversary on a Saturday afternoon. It was a wonderful and gorgeous sunset that evening. What made the night even more special was the entire staff, from the valet, hostess and waiter. But the food was beyond our expectations. I’m a salmon lover and the wild salmon was cooked perfectly!! Thank you again Poseidon ❤️
