The minute you walk into Poseidon, you’ll be swept by the fabulous view. You couldn’t be closer to the sand and the beach than sitting at Poseidon on their beautiful outdoor patio. With such a spectacular ocean view, you’ll experience breathtaking sunsets and during the right season even catch a glimpse of the whales migrating up or down the coast. The bar offers a large circular firepit, which is nice on those chilly fall or winter nights. Off to the side of the bar is a split level dining room offering every table a panoramic view of the beach and the ocean. For decades, Poseidon has delighted both local San Diegans and the tourists that love the beach.

                                                        This is one of my go-tos in SD. Luckily I live close by, but still it’s a real gem. Probably has the best Chilean sea bass around, but other menu items are great too. I also appreciate them accommodating my dairy allergy. I’ll be back for sure!

                                                        Always a great place for lunch on a sunny day! Food was great and the views don’t get any better. Highly recommend this restaurant!

                                                        WE HAD A OUTSIDE RESERVATION UT SAT AT THE BAR. THE STAFF (GARRETT) WAS EXCELLENT AND THE MAHI MAHI FISH TACOS WERE OUTSTANDING! ALWAYS A WIN AAT POSEIDON FOR ANY OCCASION!

                                                        Restaurant was superb, valet was terrible. After waiting 20 minutes in the valet line, we were told by the one valet attendant working that the lot was full yet we could see there were 6 spaces open. Plus they could have been more however the valet had parked cars badly and had not optimized room in parking lot for more cars. We were told to go find another place to park… ultimately we found a spot 10 blocks away and had to walk half a mile back to restaurant and were 40 minutes late for our reservation although we pulled into the parking lot right on time.

                                                        Always amazing- service by Sam and even another server to come and give us new napkins when ours were over soiled without asking…. The table they gave us, the taste of the food, the complimentary anniversary dessert…. Really top-notch.
