Prelude Kitchen & Bar is Restaurant located in Downtown Sacramento that serves Modern American, Farm to Fork cuisine. Our Chefs work directly with local Sacramento Farmers to source local ingredients for each dish. We believe food and dining is more than sustenance, it's a connection between guests, chefs, farmers, and the nature that surrounds us. Our menu is crafted from scratch, ensuring that every bite resonates with exceptional taste, genuine flavor, and fine dining quality. Prelude Kitchen & Bar is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Sacramento next to the Crest Theater, Golden One Center, State Capitol, SAFE Credit Union Convention Center and Performing Arts Center.                                       The food was excellent. The pork chop was one of the best we have ever had. The polenta with Gouda was so rush and creamy I wished I had more. The service was great and we had a wonderful experience.

                                      Service was great. Was great for large party business dinner. Food was salty and some ingredients were hard to taste (I got filet mignon with mustard, and didn’t taste any mustard).

                                      Food was really tasty. Hadn't been here before and didn't know it existed until I did a map search for restaurants near the community center theater. We ate before a show. They have a nice wine list including a Chablis by the glass. That was a plus. The waiter asked whether we were going to the show and paced the dinner so that we were able to get in dessert and also make the show. Appreciated that. It was a good experience. We'll be back.

                                      It was our wedding anniversary and it did feel special. Erica was a very attentive server in just the right way. It was our first time coming. We enjoyed the food and drinks very much.

                                      Very busy night. We had a show to go to and we had to really push to get out food out in time, was rushed. Took 15 mins to get our drinks and then an additional 10 to get our orders placed. It might have just been a busy night. Not always like that

                                      A family new year dinner was beautiful at Prelude, we arrived earlier and was seated in the beautiful waiting area near the fireplace, the host was friendly and the server was super helpful and friendly, the food was great full of taste and freshness.

                                      I was there with my son, my friend and her daughter. Our kids have been friends since elementary school just as long as we have been friends. We were celebrating friendship, and the holidays and Prelude was just the place to do that. The food, drinks and ambiance was superb. My friend’s daughter is vegetarian and she was satisfied with a delicious beat salad! I was delighted with the filet mignon. I have to say this is an outstanding and restaurant. I have been here a few times and I always leave satisfied knowing I want to return. Superb!
