It was amazing as a date spot, we’re young and it’s sweet and kinda like a hole in the wall almost but it’s an amazing atmosphere and food omg the food was phenomenal absolutely will be returning and suggesting to others

My husband and I have dined here before and it was wonderful. This time, however, was not as pleasant. There was one waitress for all the tables, she took the orders, there were 2-3 people who bussed tables and refilled drinks for all the tables, the menu has changed and when we asked why the waitress said because of the location of the restaurant they needed to make it more casual. The quality of food was not the same, for instance their noodles for the bolognese are no longer homemade they are boxed. Their steaks were cut from a tenderloin and very chewy. Overall a little disappointing considering what the restaurant use to be.

A now favorite place to go and worth the drive to Middletown. The filets we had this last time were the best ever, cooked perfectly to temperature. Servers are attentive. Cost is better than any Cincinnati steakhouse.

Food was decent. Some good, some bad. Restaurant was busy but not full by any means. Service was horrendously slow. Overall spent 2 hours from The time we sat down, until we got up to leave. Took about an hour and 35 to get entrees. Waitress was also very slow, and rarely came back to the table. After my card was swiped, realized there was a 22% charge for a ‘large table’, even though we were a party of 2. Could not find the waitress for several minutes after to ask, so we left. Only would’ve been a few dollar difference in tip, but having that put on AFTER I gave my card, especially for a party of 2 was not great. All things considered, I would not eat here again.

I realize it was NYE so I will give the restaurant some grace for that. We arrived with no one at the host stand and waited several mins for a flustered mumbling host that told us our table wasn’t ready and to wait a few mins. He arrived back and said follow him, no welcome! No have you dined with us before? Zero introduction or warmth. He placed us at a table about the size of a tire after I had booked a high top table over a month ago. We decided the table wasn’t even large enough to have one plate of food on let alone a full meal which we planned on eating, so we moved to the bar. I want to add that there was a high top large table directly behind us that sat empty for the 2.5 hours that we were there. Drinks were good and bartenders were friendly enough. The food took a very long time to get, but it was understandable due to it being NYE even though the restaurant was not full. Was I impressed by the quality of the meal? not at alI and I don’t see any reason to return especially when the quality compared to that of a chain restaurant with a higher price point. At one point we were approached by a friendly gentleman that asked if we needed anything since we were sitting with no food and empty drinks. He expedited our drinks by making them himself which I appreciated. What I thought was very strange is a 22% gratuity was forced on our bill without our knowledge, as someone who has no issues with tipping well and always leaves 20% I thought this was odd to be considered a “large party” when there was only 2 of us at the bar. I questioned it and was told it was bc it was NYE and I should have been told at arrival. Anyways, I had high hopes of enjoying this restaurant since it’s so close to home, but unfortunately, we will still continue to travel outside Middletown for more upscale dinning.

Service was incredibly slow as we waited 15 minutes before our server came to our table and over 50 minutes from the time we ordered until we received our food (there were open table so they weren’t that busy). She then only came to our table 3 more times in the 2+ hours we were there. But when the 22% gratuity is automatically added, why work hard. (They charged me for both steaks, added the gratuity and then credited one steak back - this added over $10 to the tip). I ordered a 14 oz medium rare ribeye. When it came out, it was roughly 1/2”-5/8” thick. The first one was cooked to well and the second was cooked to medium well. Of the 4 meals that were ordered at our table, the overwhelming comment was how over seasoned everything, as salt dominate the flavor. Drinks were crazy expensive, food was way overpriced for the quality and service.

Fantastic steaks and pasta, the environment is fancy, cozy and delightful, service was superb for our anniversary dinner. Also the dessert was delicious (tiramisu).

What a pleasant surprise. We had never been here before. We enjoyed the steak, the pasta, the desserts, the drinks. It was all very delicious And the best part was the service. Drew was awesome
