Daily Tea Service at Proper Grit is a one-of-a-kind experience that includes a wonderful selection of your choice of loose-leaf teas, as well as our "Improper selections" of alcohol infused tea options. Our executive Chef Dan Pundik has created a menu that features a variety of small delectables that truly enhance your experience with each bite, fresh daily baked breads and delicious pastries made personally by our in-house Pastry Chef Maria Brown.

The restaurant was empty but the food took over an hour to come out. When it did come out, it was cold. Drinks were good and apps decent.

First time at the Ben and Proper Grit ; great experience over all. Beautiful entrance , restaurant on ground floor. Great view of skating rink. Very welcoming, great service, limited menu but every choice we made was superb. Seasonings exceptional. Relax atmosphere. After dinner we took elevator to roof top . Another lovely bar and eatery .

We ordered three apps and one drink. The drink was unexpectedly an unnatural green color. Only One of the apps was edible. Service for all took forever. Had to get manager to get check. Won’t be back.

Food was very bad. Didn’t want to say anything to waiter. So disappointing because service is excellent & ambience is cool.

Appetizers were great. Entrees just okay for the price. Service wasn’t great. Plan on a $20 valet fee after validation.

The food was good. Portions to small for price. Vegetable undercooked and they found the smallest potato possible. Waitress forgot things and it took a very long time to receive the food and we had to ask for it. Then it came right away which makes me think it sat in the kitchen or under a heat lamp. It’s too bad because this was not only our News Years eve dinner but also our 26th wedding anniversary and they knew that, but clearly did not care or even acknowledge it.

The server was not trained properly. Our drinks came very late after the meals Were almost finished and in wrong glasses as They said they ran out of glasses. This was at 7 Oclock on the NYE.

The tea time food was very dry and not very good. Waiter Murat was nice but clumsy.
