Owned and operated by a Mexican American family whose best memories all include tacos, Puesto is an award-winning Mexican Artisan Kitchen & Bar providing an innovative approach to authentic Mexican flavors. Puesto has garnered national acclaim for its Mexico City-style crispy melted cheese tacos, served on handmade non-GMO, organic, maíz azul stone-ground tortillas.

In addition to tacos, offerings include a selection of fresh catch ceviches, guacamoles, starters and ensaladas, courtesy of Chef/Partner Luisteen Gonzales. The bar program showcases the best of Mexico City through the use of fresh ingredients in our hand crafted cocktails and housemade Micheladas, tequilas, mezcals, house-brewed beers, and Valle de Guadalupe wines you can’t find elsewhere

The food never disappoints at Puesto! After a small delay at check-in (our table was not ready even though we had a reservation), our server was attentive and helpful. Will be back!

We have been here 3 times over the course of 5 years. Everytime we travel to San Diego we’d come here for a great meal. This last time our meal and service made us decide we’d never come back again. Our waiter was very spaced. Served our meals (5 of us) at different time, forgot the kids guacamole when asked for it 3 times. Brought us ceviche without any chips. When asked for the chips took 10 minutes to bring us some. Potato taquitos were delicious though. Us travelers will not be back there.

When first arrived they couldn't find our reservation. We were then seated in an area The table could have been for 6 very Uncomfortable. The server wanted to rush us to order. The service went down hill the drink We ordered was extremely weak. We Ordered 2 tacos which were the worst We ever had. Obviously the server was Not happy with our small order and passed us off to another server. $70.00 for what we Had was nuts. We were not welcomed to the restaurant Or thanked for coming. This is by far the worst experience we have had and would suggest people can find better.

My party of 2 came for taco Tuesday and our server was overwhelmed by her section so our service was significantly lacking. The food itself was pretty good, but for the price, I likely wouldn’t return unless it was 50% off tacos for taco Tuesday. That being said, I enjoyed watching the blue corn tortillas being made and my margarita was absolutely delicious.
