Poducts in our dishes are freshly imported from Italy to ensure an authentic experience.
Grew up in a small village next to Florence, Tuscany, the owner and head-chef Erikselda, prepared a menu with her favourite dishes wishing to share the flavours she loves the most.

The food was terrific, and the service was excellent. I will go back and tell everyone I know about this fantastic restaurant. I felt like I had been transported to Italy.

This was my first visit to Puro Gusto. To start we had the selection of cured meat with focaccia, scallops and calamari. The cured meat selection was very good, with options like mortadella, salame, peppered salami and sausages. The accompanying focaccia was freshly made and warm. The restaurant proud itself on freshly sourced locally caught fish and different sea food. This was clear from the amazing scallops which melted in the mouth. They were served with a fresh and vibrant parsley sauce, sour cream and fish roe. Lastly the calamari, I personally not a fan of calamari but these were delicious and super fresh. Tagliatelle tartufo these are a signature dish and a must. The preparation is an experience in itself. It’s prepared in a massive wheel of cheese, the cheese is torched and scraped then mixed with the pasta and truffle sauce. The sauce is really addictive so watch out you may need to go back if you try it. Pappardelle with homemade ragu was also amazing. It is difficult to find good ragu but this restaurant definitely has an amazing one. We wanted to have some desert as well but ended up being too full. I can confidently recommend Puro Gusto and will definitely be back.

Loved it, very attentive, food fabulous and even brought out a desert and sang happy birthday to my daughter, couldn’t have asked for more

Small restaurant, had seen previous good reviews, didn't disappoint. Staff very friendly and welcoming, good menu options and happy to talk through them. Loved the theatre of the Grana Padana cheese wheel!! would happily book again if we stay over.

Greta (our server) was an absolute gem. Thank you for a great meal, atmosphere and local recommendations. Bournemouth you have such a great spot in this restaurant.

We eat out in the Bournemouth area up to 3 times per week and this was our first visit to Puro Gusto which I think opened just over a year ago. Without doubt it is by far the best Italian food in the area, cooked superbly by the Italian chef/owner. The food was simply excellent, as was the very friendly and welcoming service by the front of house staff. While it didn’t spoil the evening, the only negative was the restaurant interior. It just isn’t Italian. It could do with some appropriate pictures on the walls and other Italian artifacts to improve the feel and general ambience. The owner is missing a trick. He already has fantastic food and service and now just needs to invest in the place.

The food was unbelievably good… really special! And the service was wonderful…knowledgable and friendly. The chef is passionate about the food she’s producing and it shows! This is a new restaurant and the focus is on the food at the moment, so the decor doesn’t yet match the standard of food and service, but ‘don’t judge a book by it’s cover’. This was the best meal we’ve had in a very long time.
