   Our server was lovely, and the food was delicious. The bartender can make one mean margarita would definitely recommend the passionfruit margarita!

   Ambience was less than we expected. Very pub like. We ordered the prime rib, which was very average and over cooked to medium well. $65 for a $14 bottle of wine. The only item that was hot, was the mashed potatoes. Can get this better at other restaurants nearby.

   We have been multiple times for happy hour. This only our second time staying dinner; both were prime rib specials. Price wise it was on average with other places around town. We have yet to order off the full menu. I am starting feel like Norm in TV comedy Cheers. Staff recognize us and great us like old friends. One day, while shopping at L’OCA with granddaughter, one of the staff recognized me outside of Pyro. We stopped and chatted. Pyro is well staffed with everyone seeming to want to help. Started off sharing two plates; Commander’s Shrimp and Mangkok Dumplings. Prawns were off the chart with the strong garlic and spices. Dumplings; not too many places use shiitake mushrooms and truffle flavour. Everyone raved about the flavour. The prime rib was perfectly done to medium rare. Not tough at all. Had to order a wee bit more au jus. Needed some for the Yorkshire. Potatoes and roasted vegetables were as good as expected. Slight caramelization of the veggies stepped up the flavour. Fun touch was being able to choose our own weapon. Manager came around with a box of steak knives of differing sizes and weight. Didn’t have dessert but I have watched them come out of the L’OCA bakery. They looked amazing. Just a fun evening.

   Heard good things about Pyro, but was very disappointed in our meal. We had the Easter special and were not happy. The prime rib was delicious but cold mashed potatoes c old and I am not sure what the veggies were There was no au jus for the Yorkshire. The desserts however were delicious. Our server was lovely and attentive.

   When first seating, the floor around the table had crayons on the floor. this was clean up shortly after it was pointed out to staff. When the order was delivered, it was cooked improperly. Meat well and medium was requested. the food was medium rare. There was no au jus either. One was taken back and brought out well done and with a large quantity of au jus in the plate not in a side bowl. The garlic potatoes did not seem to have any garlic. The Manager did compliment the complete dinner afterward.

   Prime rib was not good, no flavor. The au jus was all over the plate with no flavor. Margarita was pure sugar. Probably at the bottom for steak imo

   Food was fabulous! Service was very good too. Just a bit expensive. But a very good experience.

   Food was meh. It’s my third time and can’t find a hit yet. Had the blackened chicken sandwich. That was pretty good, it wasn’t a consistent taste. had the loaded mash potatoes, I was excited to try these and they would’ve been amazing if they had some salt or some kind of flavouring. The texturing was an interesting good twist but just wish it had some taste. They definitely need an earlier happy hour for the weekend!

    We had a good experience. One of our mains came out with our appetizers so was not ideal but we made it work. I would like to see a white fish option on the menu and some more vegetable options. Something to think about. All in all though we really enjoyed our dinner
