Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and grew up in Boston, MA. Marybeth, a Sioux Falls native, ventured to the east coast as a nanny and then nursing school in Somerville, MA. The two met, fell in love, and became engaged on Martha’s Vineyard island. Moving back to Sioux Falls in 1999 and working at several area restaurants, they opened R Wine Bar in 2018. As owners of R Wine Bar, Riccardo and Marybeth are passionate about one thing: people. They believe that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. With a curated wine list, local craft beer on tap, and beautifully executed menu, Riccardo and Marybeth are thrilled to bring R Wine Bar & Kitchen to the East Bank of Downtown Sioux Falls along with their General Manager, Jane Allen, Assistant Manager Bailey Bernal, Sous Chef Caleb Carr, Sous Chef Esteban Gonzalez, and Culinary Director Adam Schumacher.

    As usual, it was fantastic all around. Our family visited from Texas and the only places we could imaging taking them to eat was one the Tarabelsi restaurants.

    Food has always been excellent and we enjoyed the brunch items as well today. Our server was outstanding and very helpful answering all our questions. The music did get a little loud at times but we still enjoyed it!

    It was the first time at the R Wine and Bar and it was a wonderful experience! The food was excellent and our waitress was amazing. We did enjoy a live band while we ate. Will definitely go back again.

    I Had the same thing I always get, steak was done okay just not perfect zero sear marks on the steak. My wife had pasta al limone and she wasn’t completely satisfied .. we will for sure be back

    As always, service and food absolutely impeccable. Our steak was done to perfection — and the kitchen split it for us, which always impresses. The creme brûlée was superb; love the glassy sugar crust.

    Server was very attentive, even when the order was slightly wrong, they made sure to make it right and gave us free dessert and a discount. The live music wasn’t too loud and gave a nice ambiance. Food was delicious as always.
