Travis and Ryan Croxton debut their spinoff from the highly acclaimed Rappahannock Oyster Bar at Union Market in Washington, DC. They’ve even brought their DC Chef, Kevin Kelly, to man the kitchen at this outpost. This location in the historic Cigar Factory Building on East Bay Street, allows room for Chef Kelly to showcase more of his cuisine to a larger audience, including an incredibly unique 40 seat raw bar. Oysters grown by the Croxton’s own Rappahannock Oyster Company are accentuated, but Kelly’s signature dishes like lambs’n’clams, crabcakes, shrimp & grits and the best po’ boy you’ll ever eat are enough reasons in their own right for constant visits. Coupled with a great cocktail program and focus on local ingredients, ROB is a great place for any occasion.

                                                                                                                                    Kailee was a delight, she provided excellent service and recommendations, and was very engaging. We had so many things to share with our table of 3, oysters, steam clams, mussels, crab dip, and whole fish… everything was delicious and we ate it all.. bring an appetite!

Salad was a bowl of lettuce and chips were $9 with nothing on the side to dip them in even. Really didn’t enjoy the prices or experience. No wonder the place is empty while at that time I couldn’t get into others.

                                                                                                                                    An Attentive, professional and friendly staff starts you off on the right foot and the food brings it all home. Everything was delicious, fresh and well seasoned. Beverage options are broad and diverse with a well selected list of wines by the glass that paired so well with the menu. Looking forward to eating there any time I’m in Charleston.
