The good news: The food was terrific. All three of us were really pleased. The other news: We had a 20 minute wait in a very small and crowded restaurant though we’d made a reservation. If a restaurant is so tiny it can’t put a table aside, maybe it shouldn’t take reservations, at least on Saturday nights. I asked if we should settle the bar tab before being seated at the table and was assured it would be transferred, but it wasn’t. We were given calamari (not something I would eat) as compensation for our wait, but found it added to our bill. We had to nudge for water. I’m a bit of a pain (sorry!) when it comes to food, so would just suggest maybe one more vegetarian pasta dish for the menu.

Best Italian food in the Boston area. Delicious homemade pasta, great salads and the cocktails are on point! The vibe is great. Staff and servers are friendly, efficient and attentive.

The atmosphere and dinning companion was wonderful. The table service has an attitude and rushed us along, unable to actually enjoy the food. The manager did approach the table to level set and offered desert (passed-on) and cappuccinos. But the table server was quite dismissive and borderline rude-

Nice, low-key place, pleasant ambience. Food was OK, but everything (salad, spinach, sole) had too much oil. My dining part and I ordered the same dish, and they were totally different! Her sole was crisp, mine was a little underdone. I think we should have done better ordering more traditional Italian food.

Ravello is a small restaurant so you might expect it to be noisy. It isn't. I suspect it is usually full, so there is a constant hum of conversation, but the level is low to moderate. Service is prompt and attentive but not obtrusive. And the food is excellent (and plentiful - I had a hungry grandson and a hungry son with me and we all three had exactly the right amount. Congratulations!

First time and the food was excellent. Everyone was pleased with the dinners, appetizers and deserts. Very nice place and we'll be sure to keep Ravello on our short list.
