Enjoyed a nice Saturday lunch at the Red Fox Amore! All five diners were happy with their meals! The food was delicious!

Food was not good. Over cooked pasta and they dumped sauce on my chicken parm. 2 slices of cheese versus a Jar of sauce. that ratio was terrible. good not good. would not go back

On Valentine’s Day, I took my girlfriend here for a nice dinner, but I didn’t expect to be interrogated by my waiter. He kept implying that my ID was fake because it’s a Texas ID and even jokingly asked, “Is this a mugshot?” When I was ready to check out, he made a point to tell me that I could get into a lot of trouble with the police if I was caught outside of Texas for more than 30 days with Texas plates on my car (which was odd because I never showed him my vehicle). He kept beating around the bush instead of directly asking the question I felt he wanted to ask, and he was condescending throughout our short conversation. I don’t feel like it’s because I’m black, but I do feel like I was discriminated against. If you’re in the military and far from home, be prepared for the waiter by the name of Alex. I didn’t expect to be questioned and looked down upon while simply trying to enjoy a meal. He never asked if I was in the military until I was about to leave, and the fact that I have to serve a country with people like him, who look at me as if I’m not worthy is extremely disrespectful. Hopefully, this message reaches the right audience.

Nice change from the old biker bar! Food was good. They would benefit from more subdued lighting…better ambiance.

We wanted to try a new place (to us). We were early for our reservations but were welcomed without a problem. At 6 PM it was fairly quiet but it quickly filled up with other patrons and became moderately loud. The menu and daily specials contained a good variety of Italian/Mediterranean foods. I selected ‘make your own’ pasta with Fra Diavlo sauce and shrimp. I was served large portion of great homemade fettuccine, delicious spicy thick sauce, but the shrimp was over cooked, but tasty. Our server, while attentive was fairly new. He brought our salads out with the meal, as opposed to before the meal as we usually prefer. Overall, nice place, good food and yes, we would go back.

This was the third time we have had dinner at Red Fox in Middletown/Middlefield. The service was wonderful, the meal was brought is a timely manner. Dessert was wonderful. The check was more than fair for the excellent food.

Third time here and it’s becoming one of my favorite places to dine out to! They always have really delicious specials and their service is great!

Based on how delicious the meatballs were, I’d definitely return to try their Italian entrees. Unfortunately, the preparation of the Veal Chop Milanese was very disappointing, as it looked to be deep fried (overcooked and well-done since the veal was pounded very thin). For dessert, the Tiramisu and Affogato were enjoyable.
