Repeal is Whiskey Row’s only oak-fired steakhouse, located at the birthplace of J.T.S. Brown & Sons Bourbon Company in Louisville. A stylish departure from a traditional steakhouse, Repeal uses a wood-fired grill stoked daily with reclaimed American Oak bourbon barrels. Repeal is a tribute to the Repeal of Prohibition – a place to see, be seen and celebrate the rich tradition of the building in which it resides.

Now serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

                                        We were happy with our experience at Repeal. Our server did a nice job of helping us understand all options on the menu. They have a variety selection of apps, entrees and sides. They also have a very large selection of wines. The bread and sweet potato casserole were fantastic! Our steaks were pretty good. The asparagus was ok. If I had to rank the overall experience, this place would be in the top 5 steakhouses in the Louisville area. It didn’t live up to my expectation because I heard so many great things, but it was still very enjoyable.

                                        Awesome restaurant, we had a reservation at 8pm and went an hour early to sit at the bar and have a drink. We were able to find two seats together without issues. Hostess even offered to sit us early if we wished. Once we made our way to the dining room we were greeted by a very nice waitress who went above and beyond to make our experience awesome. Everything we ate was amazing. Will go back, best steakhouse in Louisville.
