August is a Contemporary Creole restaurant creating unique dishes with a focus on Louisiana ingredients and inspired by classical training. Located in a historic 19th century French-Creole building in New Orleans’ Central Business District, the main dining room caters to the most unique dining experience. The interior is rich with original architectural details, gleaming hardwood floors, soaring columns, mahogany paneling and antique mirrors.

Dagli editor di OpenTable: August remains the flagship restaurant within the BRG Hospitality group, and it’s a grande dame dining room of New Orleans. The building rose tall in the 1830s, and the elegant space features mahogany panels and antique mirrors. The modern Creole menu offers a chef’s tasting in seven courses, from red snapper crudo to lavender panna cotta. The team also has a reputation for impeccable service, earning a couple of James Beard nominations in the past decade.

    Restaurant August presents our Chef's Tasting Menu - a journey through eight dishes to encapsulate the August experience including Fruits de Mer, Spoon Bread & Caviar, Pan-Seared Diver Scallop, Squab Dirty Rice, Grilled A5 Wagyu, Lemon Myrtle Ice Cream, and "Root Beer Float." This menu is $185 per person excluding tax and gratuity. Enhance your meal with a thoughtful and intentional wine pairing with six courses, +$110 per person.

                                                      We opted for their multi-course Reveillon tasting menu, which was both creative and exquisite in its preparation and presentation. Highlights included the pecan blue crab tartlet, spoonbread with caviar and Rodolphe le Meunier butter, and roasted duck breast with their unique reimagining of “dirty rice.” Well worth the splurge.

The food was richly complex and expertly prepared with every element balanced and visually appealing. August makes you feel special and every aspect has been carefully crafted to provide a wonderful experience from the moment you enter the restaurant until the final bite.

                                                      Love this restaurant! It’s a perfect 10. Ambiance is incredibly elegant and sophisticated. The candles on the tables are beautiful. The service is friendly and attentive. Gnocchi is a must try. Vegetarian options available. Drinks and wine list are perfect. Highly recommend.
