This is your classic, everyday neighborhood French bistro run by Chef Paul Magu-Lecugy & his wife, Laura. That kind of cozy little place you’d imagine in Saint Michel or Saint Germain. Not smack dab in the middle of the 'burbs. But lucky for you, that’s exactly where 5-star chef Paul Magu will be paying homage to the French comfort food that he fell in love with as a boy growing up in Paris. We had a memorable Valentine’s Day dinner at Reve. The place was beautifully decorated and everything we ordered was excellent. From the moment we got there to the time we left, everyone was so friendly and courteous and our service was amazing, it’s like visiting old friends.

It was obvious that it was Valentine’s Day. Reve was packed. Obviously the kitchen couldn’t keep up with the volume. The food was good, but not memorable. We started with French Onion Soup. It had evidently been watered down to stretch it through the evening. We missed that rich flavor and it wasn’t even hot - sorta bland and tepid. Next we chose Sole. It was ok, but again there was no attempt to make it outstanding. We finished the evening with Reve’s version of Floating Island Pudding. It was delicious. Finally a dish worthy of the price. Service and ambiance were great. I guess the answer is don’t go to Reve on holidays!

Reve never fails to be exceptional. Both the Duck Confit and Scallops were perfectly prepared and service was excellent. We have been here many, many times since they opened many years ago and will continue coming back.

Oysters, snails. mussels, sole, lamb shanks, and truffle fries - everything I tasted was topnotch. We were celebrating a birthday and asked to bring our own cake. It was plated and served beautifully and graciously.

Was expecting a true Michelin star restaurant, as we've heard good reviews. We were definitely not impressed. Perhaps our expectations were too high. We've been to many Michelin restaurants, and unfortunately, this was not one of the great ones.
