Revel is a casual American restaurant and Gastro Bar located in Downtown Pittsburgh, steps from Market Square. Revel has a classic breakfast offering as well as a unique lunch and dinner menu. We thoroughly enjoyed delicious appetizers and entrees at a high top table in the bar area. We changed our previous reservation time and headcount on the dining day, Revel was able to accommodate with no issues. Everyone was very friendly which made our dining experience fun and enjoyable!

awesome dining experience staff was attentive and the menu had just enough choices and the liquor assortment was superb the entrees were prepared well served at the perfect temperature I'd definitely recommend trying this place

Absolutely love it here. I stop here often when I visit downtown and the bartenders are my favorite. The managers stop by and chat. It’s honestly a great place to meet clients during the day and then a great happy hour after. Sus makes the best espresso martini.

The worst experience at a restaurant that I’ve had to endure in a long time. There were more staff than customers yet I felt like I was intruding on their day. Food order was completely wrong and everything ordered was the wrong temperature. They should’ve paid me.

Again - I had another great meal at Revel. Great food and wine selection. I had tickets for a Symphony, and the service was excellent again!

Chicken sandwich needed a sauce or something to liven it up. California slaw was also in need of a dressing to counter dryness. Mac n Cheese and Chowder were excellent.

The food and drinks were great as well as our servers. However when we arrived for our 615 reservation they didn’t have a table for us and wanted us to wait 20 minutes. Instead we sat at the bar but I believe maybe this is something the restaurant should be prepared for in the future is having a table ready for reserved parties.

We had an 8:45 reservation and as we were walking down the street in the rain at 8:47 the hostess called me twice and sent a text asking if we were coming. During the second call I explained that I am opening the door and looking at you. We ordered appetizers and our entrees. They came out together. There was no warning that since the kitchen was closing they would not be able to properly course the food. The server suggested the short ribs. Two of us ordered the short ribs and they were exceptionally fatty. When they checked on us I shared my disappointment and they removed one entree from the bill. Our server took my daughter’s dessert order and immediately returned with it while the appetizer and entrees were still on the table. I would suggest that if the kitchen closes at 9 pm they should not schedule 8:45 reservations.

The food was absolutely delicious and so were the drinks. The service on the other hand was subpar for a not busy Tuesday early evening. The waiter was very inattentive. We got our appetizer from the kitchen before we even received our drinks and when the waiter came over to take our order, he realized he never brought us our drinks. They were sitting on the bar for at least 10 minutes. There was also another person that seemed to be from management that was checking in to see if we were enjoying everything and offered to bring more sauce for the table in which she returned 15 minutes later without any of the sauce. This place has great food and a great atmosphere but every time I have come, there has been subpar service.
