Located in Greenville’s Historic West End district, Rick Erwin’s West End Grille is a traditional American steak and seafood house that takes fine dining to new levels. With a stylish bar, cozy wine cellar, and inviting dining room bathed in rich, dark woods, West End Grille boasts an atmosphere infused with ambiance and complemented by an extensive contemporary menu and fine wine list. At the same time, intimate and striking, sophisticated and comfortable. A private glass-encased dining room seats 24 and is adjacent to an elegant wine cellar with a vast selection of fine wines. Next door to the restaurant is a private 2,500 square-foot private dining room available for larger private dinners and special occassions. Our commitment is a memorable, outstanding dining experience for every guest.

The host staff was the only good part of the evening. The hosts were friendly and attentive. The service after that was lacking in every way. Terrible service from the bartender to the server. Actually while waiting for our table, we sat at the bar for 15 min and were briefly acknowledged, but never asked to order. We left the bar and continued to wait for our table in the lobby area. Once seated, it took at least 10 minutes for our server, Brad to introduce himself. We ordered drinks and oysters at the same time, the drinks arrived well after our oysters. The course there after took too long to arrive. In fact, after over an hour the dinner still did not arrive so we asked to have the remaining course boxed for carry out. Our dessert was initially missing and upon getting back to our hotel we noticed our meal was also incorrect. Poor attention to detail, poor service, and poor quality which was unexpected for a reputable establishment.

We had a wonderful New Year’s Eve dinner at Rick Erwin’s West End. Preston, our server was fabulous! So friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. He made suggestions based on his experience and personal preferences, which was very much welcome and appreciated. My husband had the Delmonico ribeye blackened. Such great flavor! I did the surf and turf. The filet was melt-in-your mouth tender! It had been several years since we’d been to Rick’s. We’d forgotten what a great place it was. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Our 7th consecutive New Year's Eve dinner at Rick Erwin's. We brought a guest and it is now her Greenville favorite Rick Erwin's has long been our favorite and we visit at least 8 times per year, including all special occasions.

We had a great meal with good friends on New Year's Eve for an early seating. Everything was lovely. The food was great, and we appreciated the choices offered in the fixed price three course meal selection portion of the menu, which three out of four of us took advantage of. Delish!

The crabcakes with the creme corn lobster and the scallops with risotto were amazing. Both served perfectly hot. The butter cake was delicious moist with a crispy edges!

Went to celebrate our anniversary and as ALWAYS….Rick Erwin’s went above and beyond to make our night special!!! Means so much when you see the owner, Rick walking around greeting every table when you are there!!!

This was an excellent experience. Food was fantastic. Best steak I’ve had in awhile. Service was attentive and cheerful. The owner stopped by the table to check on us. It’s a little pricey but not out of line for quality.

As always, we had an outstanding meal and experience. Love coming here on Christmas Eve. Rick always greets every table. He knows that there are more options available to dine, and he appreciates us choosing his!
