Fairly new bartender has changed our experience dramatically. For the most part she is unfriendly and unwelcoming which is RARE for a bartender! She basically ignores you initially then will stop and ask if there’s anything we need? As the stay continues she will be slightly friendly but that mood is subject to change at any time. 1st experience was 3/2 and when my husband asked for a drink after sitting at the bar for 10-12 minutes was told “patience is a virtue”. This visit 3/9 he wasn’t with me thank goodness. He would not have been happy. 😞😞 We LOVE Riondo’s and have been regulars for YEARS. Just not enjoying the current situation.

It’s Mardi Gras and it was super busy as always as expected! I go to this restaurant faithfully every year at Mardi Gras or if I’m cruising! They never disappoint!

Fabulous location for watching Mardi Gras Parades and fine dining. The outdoor seating is great allowing catching beads. Food superb as always- the Riondos sampler appetizers are a tasty and great value. We split a Caesar salad and the Veal Chop extraordinar!

We love Riondo's! We had a fabulous table in the vault and wonderful service by Joshua. The cocktails and food were perfect on a chilly and rainy night. Thank you!

our 1st time dining inside. We sat outside once but this time we enjoyed the warmth of inside the restaurant. It was a nasty cold damp evening so the food and drink warmed us up. The service was good. I was glad we had an OT reservation b/c there was a line to get in and we were seated quickly. Anyway the atmosphere was lively with Mardi Gras revelers, colors, outfits, and necklaces. We shared a bottle of wine. Good times.

The martinis were large and strong. Loved the cozy atmosphere, overlooking the Strand. Friendly bartender.

Wait staff ignored us throughout the entire meal. There were no water or wine refills. There was no offer to add cheese or even bring the ticket. Turned out the manager was the person who first took our order and he was non-apologetic for the very poor service.

Met with some friends who were in town. We all ordered from the Happy Hour Menu and it was perfect. Oscar waited on our table and he was very attentive. Great service from the bar. Treaty mixed our drinks just how we like them. It was a great evening.

We made dinner reservations for 3:45pm and were promptly seated. Very good time as restaurant had a calming ambience before the crowds. Nice place with multiple seating areas from front to back. We were seated in Dinning Room which is 1/2 through the restaurant. We started with their Appetizer Platter & bottle of Italian red wine (Delacorte). Of course it was a delicious blend that our waiter Nathan said was popular with guests. For Entrees we enjoyed their Scallops (including a selection of local fish from the Gulf), and Lasagna Bologne. They were both hot and delicious. Of course everything about the dining out experience is strongly influenced by the staff employed, and our Server Nathan was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly & actually appeared to enjoy working there! We’d definitely return next time - this place is a welcome alternative from our “rushed” dining experiences back home in San Diego.
