The Portland Maine location is just steps from the Cross Insurance Arena (formerly Cumberland County Civic Center). Often described as an “upscale sports bar and restaurant,” our warm and casual atmosphere is ideal for both sports fans and non-sports fans of all ages.

If you haven’t already tried our Sweet Chili Buffalo Sauce, beware, it’s highly addictive. Craved for by the masses, our signature hot sauce helped put us on the map in the Portland food scene when we opened in 2002 and continues to bring them back again and again. It’s a perfect blend of spicy and sweet with a kick of heat.

Although known for our own unique Sweet Chili Buffalo Wings and Fingers, our extensive menu has something for everyone. With 30+ TV screens and every major professional and college sports package, chances are we’ll have the game you’re looking for.

    We had a 715 reservation and got there on time. We ordered around 730 and it wasn't anything crazy. The tatchos a salad and a burger. We were told that there were two larger parties ahead of is so we were like ok no big deal. An hour goes buy and we see a table get seated (it was stated they moved from outside to inside) and they got their food within 30 minutes of being seated. We waited over an hour for our food and only after 830 did we receive our appetizer. We cancelled the rest of our order and left as we had a concert at 9 and there was no way we would have made it. It was poor attitudes and poor service. The totachos were not that good. I wouldn't go back again.

    The noise was extremely loud to where we had to yell to communicate across the table and with the staff. The waitress seemed a bit distracted and forgot to bring a few items and check back regularly. The food overall was tasty. Chili wrap, sweet fries, and classic burger were had- very good. The chicken and waffles were decent but would have been a lot better with classic syrup.

    Rivalries has been our go to to catch some games with friends and family! Great food, great service and the owners and staff are amazing!!

    Good sports bar in Portland Maine. We went there to catch an NFL game and they had a good selection of games and plenty of TVs. The bar food was pretty good, wings were high quality, cooked as requested and properly heated. The place prides itself in their sweet chili sauce and it is a winner. They also had a very good lobster rangoon with a house duck dipping sauce. I definitely will go back when in town. A bonus to be able to reserve at a sports bar on Open Table.

    From the exterior Rivalries will look like an average sports bar - don't judge a book by its cover! Much more than beer and football here :-) the food was delicious - 90% of their menu is made from scratch in house. The bartender gave us the rundown of all their in-house sauces and specialties. Try the carne asada tacos. And the chicken wings. Or anything with their specialty sweet chili sauce 🔥👏🏻💥

    We sat outside which was one television. Inside the atmosphere was more like a sports bar because it had several televisions and a good vibe. The shrimp appetizer and chicken wings were delicious. We wished new england clam chowder or lobster bisque would have been on the menu. The restaurant was clean and COVID precautions were evident. Definitely a restaurant to try.
