Located in an historic miner's cabin on Pearl Street, River and Woods serves Colorado Comfort Cuisine.     One of my favorite dining options. I don’t spend much time in Boulder but when I do I make it a point to try and make it over. Great cocktails, absolutely amazing food, love the ambience, and the staff has always been great. Can’t recommend enough.

    Sat outside in tent.... not our first meal out there. This time it was blazing warm in there. Also, kind of got forgotten about at times, which has not happened before. One of our orders was prepared incorrectly as well. Always a tasty meal though!

    I really wanted to love this place, but it was just so-so. Service is outstanding, but the food was lacking and the “Forest Room” is a glorified tent, that was too hot. The trout was delicious, but the side salad it came with was awful. Overdressed, off flavor I couldn’t place, didn’t eat more than a few bites. The polenta starter and churros dessert were very good. Not sure I’d return, maybe it was just an off night.

    Chicken for the chicken and waffles not great. Food took a long time to come out. Great atmosphere, but didn't see the overall value.

    I ordered the chicken and waffle fries because it came with collard greens. Before placing my order, I asked the waitress if the greens were vegetarian and she said yes. When the food came, I asked why the collards were missing and the waitress said it was because they contain butter. Without the collards, the dish was unbalanced with far too much acidity from the pickled vegetables. Also, while the menu said “pickled vegetables,” the plate only had pickled cauliflower. Finally, it was freezing. Basically, the overall experience felt like a punishment and I will not bring colleagues here again. For a bit more money, you can go to Jill’s and have a truly extraordinary meal without competent servers.

    Loved the vibe of this place, super cute and quaint! For whatever reason the acoustics made it extremely loud and difficult to hear our server speaking. The cocktails and appetizers we had were absolutely delicious, but then we ordered the duck cassoulet special... it was ok but had an off smell, in the moment was difficult to pinpoint. Unfortunately later we both had stomach issues, wondering if the duck was old?
