From the Team that made 'The Warwick' a Southern star celebrates the South again! Rockhouse Southern Kitchen a “Live Music Joint,” where the catfish-and-oxtail menu meets a rock-and-soul interior. Blues, Jazz, and R&B set the scene all day and night long. We have created an experience where our culinary farm-to-table offerings, hand-crafted cocktails, and nightly musical oblations will leave you coming back for more.

The venue itself is iconic in nature has produced some of most classic artist performances for over 25 years when it was Billy Blues and The Horn. Acts included the Fabulous Thunderbirds, blues mavens Bo Diddley, Clarence Gate mouth Brown, and Bobby "Blue" Bland. Fast forward to ROCKHOUSE LIVE you can expect amazing Rhythm and Blues, Jazz, and other fabulous genres of live music.

I used to love this place but the quality of the food and drinks have decreased. The drinks are on average $15-$20 each and contain very minimal alcohol now which defeats the purpose and so annoying. Rockhouse used to be my go to but they seem to be starting to follow the trend of many other places in Houston, high prices and low quality food and drink. The live music saves the day so I’ll probably still go when theres a band, I’ll just eat and drink elsewhere from now on. $20 for parking, (apparently there’s no other parking options even though there’s a whole empty lot behind that I just used last week but whatever smh).

Most of the food was tasty and our server was very cordial but could have been more attentive. Just a few little things we observed… There was no silverware or napkins placed on the table when we got there and after requesting we only received a fork so had to ask for a knife. Person who delivered food spoke very little English. Had to ask for ketchup and was given a bottle where we had to remove the seal ourselves. The little things matter when you automatically add a 20% gratuity.

Love the live band. Like the changes made to make the stage room look more like a lounge vs a bar! Always a good time!

I visit and stay all day everything and everyone is always great . I try to come every Sunday for brunch and football and I totally enjoy zydeco Sunday
