I rarely give a 10/10 for anything, but it is well-earned in this case :-) The New York Strip was the best I have ever had. It was perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and very tender. The sides were perfect: creamed spinach, Idaho baked potato, and sauteed mushrooms. Our server was great, really putting the icing on the cake.

                                                                                                            Rock Steady is an untouched gem! The steaks were perfect, beautiful decor and impeccable service. Great food, well prepared, beautifully plated and innovative. Will definitely go back!

                                                                                                            We chose Rocksteady for our anniversary dinner, and initially, the service was excellent. We ordered drinks and appetizers; while the drinks were enjoyable, the wedge salad and oysters were bland. Wedge was head of lettuce with what looked like onions and tomato's were thrown on the plate with the slightest drizzle of dressing. Oyster Rockefeller were the tiniest oysters mixed with what seemed to be their creamed spinach, on top of a literal pile of salt. They were awful. Mouthful of creamed Spinach and salt. Quite some time after we ordered our steaks, the waitress informed us that the chef overcooked the steaks, and new ones would be out soon. After nearly 20 minutes, the steaks arrived but were completely raw. Mind you, there were a totally of 5 patrons in the restaurant at this time. Two tables, so it wasn't like they were in the weeds) We sent them back as the sides were served. The green beans tasted like they came from a microwaveable bag—no seasoning whatsoever—and the mashed potatoes were the only redeeming part of the meal. When the steaks returned, they were still undercooked. Although the waitress apologized, the only compensation was $12 off for the potatoes. We barely touched the steaks, and the total bill was $315—far more than we would have spent for a better meal at home. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience warranted it. As we finished up, we overheard the other table expressing their disappointment as well. Given its current state, I doubt this restaurant will last long. It was hands down the worst meal at a steakhouse I have ever experienced.

                                                                                                            I like to support our local businesses so we gave Rock Steady a try Saturday night as Delray Beach is promoting Restaurant Month. When we arrived, we asked the bartender for the Delray Restaurant Month menu. We were told that drinks and appetizers are 20% off. Same offer for their Happy Hour. For an upscale steakhouse the beverages are extremely limited. The wine list only has one Cabernet by the glass. Josh Cellars which is low end. They really need at least two or three better quality wines. I ordered Dewars and water. As the bartender search for the bottle she realized they do not have Dewars which is a standard scotch. So I ended up with Johnnie Black. It was the only reasonable scotch that they offer. The bartender served it neat which is not what I ordered. Unfortunately, she seems inexperienced and advised us that the owners are not “drinkers”. We proceeded to order apps. The bacon was good but the octopus was under cooked. So we decided to have a main course somewhere else. The bill came with the discount “ Delray Special “ which was only on the appetizers and was less than the 20% as we were told. The drinks were full price. She had to get the manager to correct our bill to 20% off on the apps as we were told. They did not honor the 20% discount on the drinks. I would say to give them another four-six months to work out the kinks.

                                                                                                            Rocksteady is Less than a year old but I can tell already it’s going to be one of my favorite restaurants! We went on a very quiet Saturday night (off season) so we had impeccable service. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and reminiscent of an old school white glove steakhouse. The chef cuts all of the steaks by hand and ours were cooked perfectly to the temperature we requested. The steak sauces were also delicious especially their wild mushroom and creamy horseradish. It’s off the beaten path a bit from the downtown Delray scene but parking is easy! Great special occasion place too. Next time you’re thinking of a steak dinner run, don’t walk, to Rocksteady!

                                                                                                            Hidden gem. Never knew it existed. Off the beaten path. Amazing steaks. Sides terrific. The place is very elegant. Has a beautiful bar. The place is quiet. Maybe too quiet. Needs more upbeat music/vibe. Could be an amazing venue with the right vibe. Definitely worth trying out. Will be back for sure
