A first visit! Loved the hot pot rice! Tried Nigri chef’s choice, delicious! Different toppings and flavors. The yellow tail carpaccio sashimi was tasty and very fresh! Miso was delightful too.

The food was very good and well prepared. We like the different small bites to share. Scallops were nicely roasted. Some dishes had a bit of spice to them. The desserts were delicious. A little on the pricey side but good service and presentation.

Not sure what has happened to Roka Akor. We had a strange experience there tonight…. I celebrated a birthday here 6 months ago and had a fabulous experience - everyone stopped by to wish me a happy and we received numerous special treats. It was a night to remember. Fast forward to tonight, I brought my daughter here to celebrate her birthday. No one acknowledged her birthday, even though I indicated that we would be celebrating a birthday when I made the reservation. Service was also odd. We were not warned that the fried chicken was spicy when I asked if the spicy aioli would be on the side (I did not ask if the dish was spicy but it would have been a good time to mention it since I had indicated concern about spice levels). Service / timing was also off - Cold apps came out after hot apps, sides for the entree came out way before the mains. The entrees did not come out at the same time. And we were not offered wet wipes after eating a messy dish (last time we ordered it, we received the wet wipes shortly after receiving the dish). Overall, it was as odd experience, especially in light of how wonderful previous experiences have been.

would recommend this great restaurant, it is a bit pricey but well worth it.! outstanding service ad very tasty food.

Food was good but idk if I would say anything crazy. Wagyu was definitely highlight of the meal. Also enjoyed the strawberry cheesecake desert.
