- Roly's stunning new fully enclosed heated terrace dining, cocktail & wine bar. The Terrace opens daily from 8:00am (Weekends 9.00am).

This is our new fully enclosed heated terrace - a casual dining alternative to the restaurant. The Terrace is open for breakfast, weekend-brunch, lunch, and dinner.

Our approach is based on producing casual food to the highest standards, whether a simple sandwich or a full dinner. Fresh bread, cakes and desserts are available all day.

                                                      I was very disappointed with our experience at Roleys, especially since I have been coming here for years and have always enjoyed it. I hadn’t been in a while and I was really looking forward to our visit, but sadly, it let us down in a big way. Both of us ordered the steak, but it was filled with large chunks of fat and gristle, nearly half of it was inedible. The chips were fine, but the meal as a whole felt more like fast food than a proper steak dish with any finesse. The only saving grace of the evening was dessert (and of course the company), the chocolate brownie was delicious and actually felt like something from a real restaurant. However, the service was another disappointment, as the waitress was quite rude, abrupt and unfriendly. That said, the restaurant itself remains lovely, with a great ambiance, tasteful decor and spotless facilities. Given that we visited for a Valentine’s evening meal, we had expected so much more. Having loved this place for years, it was truly disappointing to have such a letdown of an experience

                                                      The terrace restaurant was very noisy - such that it was hard to hear my dining companion, and I was hoarse when I came home! The menu is very good, but the sandwich fillings were so cold that they were tasteless. Service was very good, and the staff are very pleasant.

                                                      I have been several times but not for a few years and it was awful . Overpriced reheated child’s portion (18 euro ) soggy inedible gosh n chips with cold over cooked veg . I can honestly say it’s the worst meal I’ve ever had

                                                      Have gone to Roly's every Christmas for the last 5 years. This year was sadly quite disappointing - a 15 minute wait to be seated, very gruff manager, starter missing ingredients (requested chicken with Caesar salad), wrong main delivered, dessert poor quality, coffee offered but never arrived. Individual staff were very pleasant and took incorrect items off bill very apologetically. Setting, as always, very nice! Overall very poor - won't be returning next year.

                                                      My husband and I went to Roly's to celebrate the conclusion of my law school final exams. It was our first time visiting. The inside is cozy and nice looking. The food was absolutely outstanding: everything from our appetizers to our desserts was fantastic. The service was such a bummer. I am not sure if it was because we were an obviously gay couple or because we were not as well-dressed as other folks in the restaurant, but I had to flag down servers a number of times. Other tables, especially those that seemed to be regulars, appeared to be receiving a high level of attention. I had to ask if we could order dessert twice and then, after waiting about 15 minutes for it to come out, I had to ask after the dessert itself. I had to ask for the check twice as well, and we were also billed incorrectly, so then I had to ask for the check to be reissued. The food was some of the best we had in Dublin, but as we were not made to feel welcome, I am not sure that we'll return.
