   The food was phenomenal. I don’t normally write reviews, but felt the need to. This is a must-go. Get the Brussels sprouts.

   We tried Rood for restaurant week and it was a disappointment. I got the skirt steak and it was so fatty and tough, it got sent back. My other choices were shrimp and grits ( allergic too) and a cabbage dish. So I had to get the cabbage. For $45 it was a wedge of cabbage with a topping on it. That was it!!!! What a rip-off. When I told my waiter about the tough steak, he simply said sorry. It wasn't until we asked for a replacement dish, did we get one. Won't be going back anytime soon.

   Another very good meal at Rood. Creative dishes, attentive service and a pleasant vibe. One of the best restaurants in the Cleveland area.

   Zack was amazing. Attentive and personable. The only reason for four stars was because the skirt steak entree, part of Cleveland restaurant week menu, was tough, despite ordering it medium. It was perfectly cooked, color wise. Despite that, it was almost impossible to chew and swallow. The desserts were incredible and wings delish.

   The food was outstanding, service was excellent, and we are excited to go back already! We had the octopus appetizer, beef cheek and filet for entrees, and enjoyed sorbet and PB cheesecake for dessert - everything was AMAZING!!

   Generally, Rood gets all 5 stars but this particular day was not great. Could not find parking, horrible service, and the place was as loud as I have ever experienced. Our server must have been new because there is no excuse for her mishaps. We witnessed other service staff helping our table to compensate, which was really nice to see. The food was great as usual. It really was just our server ... please vet your employees better.

    Great food - thoughtfully prepared. The bbq carrots were next level, the bok choy salad so good I hope to recreate it at home. When I fail, we’ll return without hesitation!
