Root Down and the Edible Beats Family (Root Down, Linger, Vital Root & El Five) are very grateful to welcome you to our restaurant.

Our menu features eclectic, globally-influenced seasonal cuisine, with a focus on organic, natural and locally-sourced ingredients.

Our interior dining space has the classic vibe of a neighborhood restaurant, while our large main patio offers picturesque views of the near neighborhood and downtown skyline.

Reservations are available online at ediblebeats.com, as well as OpenTable. We happily accept walk-ins as availability allows.

Our space is available for private events year round, please inquire with us directly for information.

Please be aware we are located in a residential area, and parking is available in the near neighborhood, along with a small paid-lot located directly across the street from our location.

We had an absolutely outstanding dining experience at Root Down. I was excited there was a spot available on Open Table. It has been a while since I have gone out to dine in a restaurant. Let me just start by saying, the food was amazing. We had these bacon wrapped pepperdew peppers appetizers with a fondue sauce, diver scallops that were cooked perfectly, the Squash "Onion" Rings were fried to a perfect crisp. But what made this experience the most special was our server, Gigi. She was quite possibly one of the best servers I have ever had in my life. She was so kind and knowledgeable and had such a vibrant personality. I recently lost my 5 year old Chocolate Lab, Lucy on January 19th very suddenly. I was shocked and truly devastated. My Mom flew in from Florida to help me cope. This was a special night out, to get some positive energy and be together and talk about memories of Lucy. She brought us 3 chocolate trufffles as a small homage to my Chocolate Lab. It was so sweet and memorable. Thank you Gigi, the bartender who made our delicious and fresh ingredient cocktails, the food runners, the kitchen, the hostess who was so kind. My Mom, boyfriend and I will never forget this. Thank you!!!!!

Food and services was amazing! They were at capacity so there was a slight wait after our reservation time but they brought us drinks while we waited and were absolutely lovely!

First Visit. Great experience during the Friday Happy Hour. Friendly & Knowledgable staff ( greeter, servers, bar team). The “Don Draper” cocktail is a keeper. We will repeat & ask for the phone booth corner soon!!

Delicious food and drinks for brunch! I think our server was Jason. He was great! Adding this to my top denver brunch spots! Carrot cake French toast was so good!

We've been coming to Root Down for years, past couple visits haven't been great. Food is a bit bland, one note without the depth of flavor we're used to. Our latest visit was for brunch and my egg sandwich was really unexciting, ordered a side of bacon and it was soggy. Just disappointed overall.

Loved it! Ate here years ago, came in for my friends birthday. Bottomless mimosas were totally worth it! Everything was fantastic! Service was amazing! Loved it and will be back!

All of the food is cooked in sunflower oil and the portions were very small for the price. Our waitress also seemed unenthused to be there and like she just wanted to get her last table over with for the night. It had a nice ambiance inside but I thought the food would be much better than it actually was given the prices and the reviews.
