Comfortable casual and drenched in Southern charm, the Rose Villa combines its polished easygoing atmosphere with Southern cuisine, classic craft cocktails and an ample selection of Wines. Enjoy Chef Sylvia Kerry Herrera's signature Southern Fried Chicken or her award winning Shrimp and Grits. Each guest that walks through our doors is sure to have a story to tell. Built in in late 1800's Rose Villa was established as a boutique hotel and bed and breakfast in 1901.
The Gazebo is open for cocktails, lunch and dinner during the temperate months. With a relaxing fountain and abundant florals, the Gazebo and back porch seating is a great place to enjoy the Rose Villa. Dogs Welcome!
Upstairs is the Southern Speakeasy, "Whiskey at the Rose" and is making quite a stir among Bourbon aficionados with an array of high end Bourbons. Chef Sylvia has also gotten in on the action offering small plate appetizers and food tastings designed around whiskey and Bourbon during special events.

We sat on the front porch. It made for an interesting perch! Some car noise but not enuf to be a detriment. Our waitress Molly was knowledgeable about the menu and was a joy to have take care of us. The food was excellent, we had the fried chicken and the chicken statler. Would definitely go back and have the same again! Although as good as those dishes were, we should try something else as I think it would be great too. After we left we saw that there was music out on back porch so that’s my spot next time. A great find, wonderful ambience.

My wife and I ordered the Seabass they asked how I would like it cooked they said the chef recommended medium never in my life have I ever been asked how I want my Seabass cooked but OK. We were given such tiny portions it was like eating an appetizer, plus the fish came out fleshy and Raw. When I made mention of it to our waitress she gave us such a look of are you crazy but OK again we sent it back and my wife when her portion came out it looked like it was half of The original piece. A note to the manager you should never tell your servers to call people honey that is not professional. Also if you give bread dishes you should put Bread on the table. For a $40 Seabass that comes out cold and raw I say shame on you

Great meal today and the biscuits were even hot today!! Our waitress was excellent made sure that our biscuits were served hot and the meal delivered in a timely manner!! Great experience today! Hats off to everyone involved!!

Rose Villa is a not to be missed unique dining treat. A very special setting with quality food and attention to the customer. This visit Millie, our server, made it superb! Note that there are several areas to dine both indoors and outdoors and we chose “upstairs standard seating” and were given the Roosevelt Room.

Keep in mind this was a holiday dinner so may not be a normal experience. We reserved for a time 1 hr prior to close (what was available to us), but our table was not available and so we choose to sit in their outdoor seating area as it was already 10 to 15 minutes into our reservation time. Got our cocktails and appetizers quickly and our server was very pleasant and checked on us frequently. But then it went downhill from there. We put in our orders for dinner plus a take home meal because one person in our party had to cancel due to illness and we were bringing something home to him, and we were told the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. Our take home meal was brought out by a runner in a timely fashion But our sever had not checked on us and 30 minutes had gone by since we ordered with our regular meals still missing. She finally came out and told us that an order for a large party before us had delayed ours, which was clearly not true as we had already received our take out meal, and 10-15 minutes later we finally received our table service order. The food was good, but no apology for whatever mishap/miscommunication had happened in the kitchen, or just a straight answer would have sufficed. Not looking for any handouts, mistakes happen, and we tipped her well no matter the situation. We have dined there before and enjoyed it, but probably won’t patronize again.

Wonderful experience in every way. Service was top notch, food and drinks were outstanding and the whole staff was so welcoming and knowledgeable. If I could give a higher rating than five star I would!
