Our international fusion cuisine is born from the inspiration of founders Jana & Jonny. Originally from the rich cultural country of Ecuador, our founders have always dreamt to bring the taste from their origins to their adopted hometown of East Lyme, a village that welcomed them with open hearts, and allowed for their children to be raised in this wonderful community full of love, hope and inspiration. We are proud to be a part of this amazing village.

Jana & Jonny are very passionate about fine cuisine, and as such Rossa Negra aims to become a place that you will love; a gathering spot for family and friends, and a celebration location for all your special occasions and life events. At Rossa Negra our guests will enjoy the pleasure of fusion cuisine and flavors inspired from our home and our hearts, to yours.

                                                                                  What an incredible experience! From the decor to the Spanish guitarist, the setting was perfect for a date night out. We were transported to an art gallery and music hall with a restaurant inside. The owner appreciates the power of color, sound, and design. And, then there was the food… The soft bread with delicious chimichurri sauce and cornmeal empanadas gives you a piece of South American heaven like you never had before. The Picanha steak and Salmon cooked to your liking was accompany by savory sides like yucca frita, garlic mashed potatoes, crunchy-caramelized onions and the most flavorful sauces that leaves your every bite in marvel. The chef is a master at their craft and highly skilled in elevating South American culture to a peak that rivals the highest mountain in their native Andes. You must experience this place first hand. It’s a top tier restaurant that will change your life!

                                                                                  This is the best restaurant in Niantic! The food is amazing - drinks are delicious and the staff is so courteous and friendly. We ate here two nights in a row. Love it!

                                                                                  First, the food is OUTSTANDING! It may have been the best Chilean Sea Bass dish I have ever had. With that said, it is pricey. The service was strange. The servers were so nice however it just seemed like no one had a sense of urgency or were just confused about what they should be doing. The bar tender needs a service bartender during busy times. We will definitely go back just on a week night to have that amazing menu again. If they can get the service piece fixed this could be much different review. Try it! The food is worth it.

                                                                                  We went expecting a quiet dinner. The music was crazy loud for a sit down restaurant. In fact piercingly Loud in the bathrooms. The staff although friendly would disappear after requesting something simple. The food was interesting, not what we expected but good nonetheless. I understand there are growing pains but then to include a 20% service charge on the bill for a party of four then presenting a bill without saying anything about it is a bit underhanded. The family run business has some way to go to streamline it into a well oiled machine. Sadly, I won’t be back for awhile even though it’s very local for me.

                                                                                  Overall great. Varied menu, something for everyone. Large portions. The Tuna Tartare was perfectly spiced. Salmon was crispy and flavorful, although the sauce was a little too sweet. My wife's rack of lamb was huge-enough for lunch tomorrow. The only drawback was the decaf coffee tasted burned. Not just strong, but bitter. Overall a great place. On the pricey side for the area, but well worth it.
