   We were very disappointed with Rowleys. On arriving we were left standing at the door whilst the staff passed us without acknowledgement. We made our way to the bar to ask about our table and once again we're ignored by the young man behind the bar who was too busy looking at his phone. We stopped a passing waiter to tell him we had a reservation,he said he would be back to us and we never saw him again. This would have been more understandable if the restaurant was busy but it wasn't. A family group arrived and a man who appeared to be in charge approached them and checked their booking on a list and showed them to their table. I approached this man and said we had a reservation for Donegan. He told me I wasn't on his list. I explained that I had booked on line and got my phone out to show him confirmation but he appeared annoyed saying those bookings don't come through but we could take our pick from two tables. He then left us to take our pick not showing us to our table. We were given menu's and left for a long period before the main waiter came to us to order. We said no one had come to take our drinks order which appeared again to annoy him and he said "oh you want a wine menu" like we are causing a fuss. We decided at this stage that the service was so poor that we weren't prepared to stay and eat at Rowleys. This was so disappointing as it was a special 50th Birthday meal and the reviews that we read for the restaurant were very good. We left and got a taxi to the Beach house restaurant were we had a lovely meal and great service.

   Fantastic friendly staff, amazing food. Definitely one of my favourite places to eat. Highly recommended
