Ruba´s Bakery se encuentra en una casa de 1940 ubicada en el distrito del arte en San Jose del Cabo, la cocina rinde tributo a las masas madres y pan artesanal horneado diariamente, cada uno de nuestros platillos tiene como protagonista al pan acompañados de una selección de café Mexicano.

Nuestra panadería se distingue por el proceso de elaboración del pan artesanal y la constante renovación de productos de acuerdo a la temporada.

    Our server Arturo was amazing! He was attentive and on top of the service. The manager of the restaurant as well, she is kind and even gave us some dessert since it was my father-in-law’s birthday! We’ve been coming to this restaurant since they opened and it has a special place in our families celebrations.

    The food and atmosphere were enjoyable. However, the service left a lot of mixed feelings, and I wouldn't like people to feel like that if it were my restaurant. Upon arrival, the hostess was rude and made us feel unwelcome. She asked for our reservation name and, without any warmth, pointed to a tiny table with small chairs for three and said, “Well, this is all we have.” This table was positioned in a spot with blinding sunlight and very close to the bar, which was designed like a boat, so the end of the bar was almost on top of the table. I felt very uncomfortable with her approach. Later on, because seeing someone through the sun was very difficult, I asked the manager, Octavio, if we could be moved to a different table. Octavio was very polite, and I sincerely appreciate his help. The two servers who took our orders did well, but one failed to send some items, so we asked others for them. Also, it was somewhat distracting to have job candidates being interviewed nearby while we were eating, and I felt bad for them not having any privacy. Anyway, it might have just been a busy day 🤷‍♀️

    This rating is for brunch. We had excellent food, including Eggs Benedict with fillet steak, which was outstanding and some wonderful pastries, including almond croissants. The Service was also very friendly, very attentive and would highly recommend for breakfast or brunch.

    Everything was delicious, we had the focaccia with butter as starter and shared little of everything on the menu as our entrees, we were a group of 5, and were truly happy with all the food. The bruce cake was gigantic and so chocolatey. The restaurant was packed and we still got our food quickly. A must in San José.

    Amazing food. Can’t wait to go back! Drinks were delish too. Nice service. Need reservations as it gets very busy.

    Al llegar solicitamos una mesa en donde no se escuchara tan fuerte la música, la persona que nos recibió y nos asignó la mesa nos sentó justo abajo de una bocina. La música era tan fuerte que no podíamos conversar. La comida sin sabor y en cuanto al servicio se equivocaron al llevar platillos que no ordenamos. Lo que queríamos que fuera una buena experiencia resultó todo lo contrario, difícilmente regresaremos.

    We enjoyed a delicious breakfast on our first visit to Rubas. The food was fresh and their bread is of high quality. The English muffin that came with my meal is one of the best I’ve ever had. The price for quality match and it’s definitely a restaurant we will visit again.

    I had Christmas breakfast at Rubas. While the food was tasty and enjoyable, the drinks left much to be desired—they were either overly sweet or lacked flavor. I had to request some hot milk to balance out the sweetness of my coffee, and for just 2oz of milk, an additional charge was applied. While the cost itself wasn’t significant, it’s the principle of the charge that left a negative impression. Small gestures can go a long way in enhancing the customer experience.

    The food is always excellent quality and interesting. We thought it was strange that we would have to wait until 1:30 for a lunch menu. Our reservation was for 1:00, (they only had a breakfast menu ! )We were told that they were doing a change over in food and chefs so it was better to order right away. Disappointing as we had guests and it’s a “Michelan” star. The service did not match the status .We were hoping for lunch!!!
