     I think they are a little bit disorganized at the hostess stand. We did have a little issue about being seated at our table.

    Not a very special meal for $400+....( a bottle of wine and 3 meals with dessert) the food was good as expected, not special. The atmosphere was chaos and we were seated at a table next to the hostess station. For the first 45 minutes we were surrounded by guests standing a few feet away waiting for tables. I like Bruce and he always comes by to say hello, but after the last few times we have not had a good experience and will stick to the Pho take out.

    We used to go to the old Ruggles way back and have been so excited to try this one. My husband and I never get date nights so finally had a chance to make a reservation. Requested booth. Got there and they told us we could choose from 1 of 6 tiny tables right in the entry way. Didn’t have a booth for us. Sat down and it was so busy with staff right by our table. Our server was sweet but she brought us our food and that was it. We sat there for 20 minutes with empty glasses and had to ask busboy for tea. The area was so tight that when the server for the table right next to us came to wait on them, his butt was right in my husbands face. I would have loved to stay and have the keto dessert but I was so disappointed and annoyed that we just paid and left.

    The food was AMAZING!! I love the keto menu! The hospitality has some opportunity.

    We have been a few times and it has yet to disappoint. Will for sure come back again. Only complaint is the noise level, but overall really enjoy this restaurant.

    Wonderful Valentines dinner. Wife had pistachio crusted snapper, I had the seafood ramen, and we had carrot cake for dessert. The only food that wasn’t all that impressive was the scallops appetizer. Would definitely go here again.

    Chicken and steak was undercooked and lukewarm. Had a reservation for Valentine's Day and was disappointed. Been a Ruggles Black fan for years. Something has changed obviously. Server was curt, unhelpful which is strange compared to our previous experiences at Ruggles Black. The spinach chicken was obviously premade and warmed up under a lamp or oven. The cheese inside the chicken was still cold and not melted. The $55 steak was lukewarm wrong temp and chewy. Would not recommend under current management and chef.

    This was the perfect Valentine's dining experience. I'm so glad I booked it weeks in advance. As usual, the food was amazing, and the owner visited all the tables to ensure guests enjoyed their experience. This favorite place to dine in Houston since they have lots of gluten-free and Paleo options.
