Chef Ali Mesghali"s nearly lifelong love of cooking combined with his love for Sufism brought to life for the first time in Atlanta's culinary scene the concept of Rumi's Kitchen in 2005.
At Rumi's Kitchen, Ali has been able to artfully bring together an atmosphere full of joyous energy with attentive and generous Persian hospitality along with the unforgettable unique aromas and flavors of the Persian cuisine which is truly reflective of his simple intention to bring joy and happiness to the overall dining experience of the guests. Every member of the team at Rumi's Kitchen strives in delivering the service that is demanded by such a unique intention and vision.
While Rumi's Kitchen is a Persian restaurant at its core, the menu is constantly supplemented by dishes pulling influences from other countries, keeping the cuisine at the forefront of the dining scene in Atlanta.

    Amazing as always. It is noisy and very busy. So not ideal if you want a more intimate dinner.

    Rumi’s at Avalon has progressively gotten worse over the years. I understand the demand is high on the weekends and service can get strained but it could be controlled better if they just limit capacity and push for strict reservation schedules. It would get customers seated quicker and give better insight on availability. This has been a problem for years as we’ve tried arriving up to 30 minutes early just to wait even longer. It’s a burn out and over crowding is reaching its peak. Once the food quality is effected, it’s over all together.

    This was my first time at their Avalon location. My wife had never eaten at Rumi’s before and was a bit apprehensive about Persian cuisine. While very crowded, we were seated within 5min of our reservation time! The service and food were absolutely top notch! Our waitress took extra time to explain some items to my wife, and she had a great first experience! Very pleased.

    Excellent as always! The filet minon kabobs were cooked perfectly, and the spicy green sauce was very delicious. Cocktails were amazing. Our waiter David was knowledgeable and delightful.

    As always, everything was on point! A lovely meal to start off the new year right. Special shout-out to Jamison who was absolutely amazing in taking care of us. One of the best servers I’ve encountered and will definitely ask for him on our next visit.

    My server at Avalon was Chris. He was knowledgeable and very professional. I really enjoyed all of the food. I like this restaurant because it is smaller than the Roswell road location and not as noisy

    Rumi’s food and service is always amazing. My family always looks forward to Rumi’s when they come to visit us. We didn’t get seated until 25 minutes after our reservation time. It happens, but that is the only category I would not give the maximum number of stars.
